This is one of Elvis's very best songs, and you've absolutely nailed it Zoe with your beautiful voice! You put so much feeling into your songs. Thank you for sharing.
🌺Mac Davis, sort of a country pop artist crossover, wrote this song about his black childhood friend in 1969 covered wonderfully by Zoe with the same heart-felt way it was written and meant to be sung, l wouldn't expect it any other way from Zoe. A very beautiful interpretation always with Zoe putting her personal touch, making it her own song!!🌺☮🧡🕉
Used to loudly play this every day I came home from work and turned into my neighborhood. It really was a ghetto. Makes me appreciate the home and nice neighborhood I live in now.
This is a song about me. I poor Puerto Rican boy born in the South Bronx, "Fort Apache". I remember playing in the streets. My nose running as a cold wind blew. I wasn't the only one. There were others, hundreds. "The Boxer" is another song that captured my upbringing. Thanks Zoe.

Have always loved this song ( there is a sad-sweet story behind it) seems like whomever sings it, sings it with a sadness and and a kind of empathy...just love it...she did it justice...❤😊
I try to always be honest when commenting on videos. Unfortunately I'm not so convinced this time. Yes, you have a great voice and play the guitar very well. And yes again: In the Ghetto is one of Elvis' best songs. I like your friendly nature, your cheerful nature - that's priceless. But I'm sure: Zoe: there's more: use your voice and your talent. Show what you're made of. Tell us about your songs. You can't just sing and play guitar. You also write great lyrics. In more drastic words (I hope you don't misunderstand them): Get out of your comfort zone. What moves you? What's wrong in this world? What should your future look like?
Amazing, I am sure if Elvis was still around he would love to do a duet with you with that song. Very beautiful and I would take you over Taylor Swift any day.❤
