Absolutely Lovely - wonderful arrangement and great accompaniment as well. Ms. Hammond makes the songs and that era come to life with her work. I hope that she will make a tour of the USA soon!
Trying to learn this song on the portable chord organ. Playing by numbers! So, wanted to hear how this song sounded when done properly. Enjoyed your performance very much. The faces in the front row are priceless!! Doesn't seem like they appreciated just how good you were Miss Annie!
Thank you for stopping by! Here's more about Annie: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3-xNdTvTUvI.html and also she's in my book "She Wrote the Songs". She also played a little organ and even wrote a couple of hymn tunes! Well done choosing to learn such a lovely piece, not often performed!
It's from 1892, a good many years before that! Do have a look at our most recent series of requests...many similar gems and uploads every Monday and Thursday! ru-vid.com/group/PLmOunjOPXa1sR-rN5_8Z5nnuvjmrpiarI
Do you travel because if you did it would be awesome like I said to come to my 21st and sing it would be my dream as I love older songs and especially this song ❤❤❤
We have travelled to perform many events! I guess it depends on distance and budget...I could find you someone nearer if you're far away...what a lovely idea for a 21st! With a vintage dress-code etc!
Listen to the late Anthony Rolf Johnson (tenor) sing this song - his is an incomparably beautiful rendition... You'll agree when you hear THAT version.
