The thing about carbon footprint is that it has been too high since +- 1980 and has been way too high every year since then. An ecological footprint that is too high actually indicates that you are endangering the survival of your species. You understand that an airplane emits more per mile than, for example, a train or a car. So it gives airline passengers a sky-high carbon footprint, which will almost certainly "end" the survival of many people by 2050. How come strict measures are not taken against this life-threatening form of transport that is not vital?

@@karlmarx1463 They might eventually change to hydrogen, still cars and livestock pollute way more due to quantity, most things need to be improved.

@@suyrant6909 If it's not possible to take the train, that's not what I'm talking about. But if you make a very long flight, you have as many emissions as the diesel / petrol exhaust that a car emits 'in one year'. You do that in one outward and return flight. Seems to me this has a huge impact on your personal emissions.
