I miss Finland I’m a Finn who has lived in the US for 35 years. Hoping to move back some day. I remember skiing in my grandparents forest as a kid. Huge pine trees, the silence and occasional whisper of the trees. I miss that tranquility.

The snow laden trees are just breathtaking along with the blues and whites. Love your knitting talent.

I'm literally obsessed with the way you live, far from superficial things we, as industrialized countries are used to. I barely imagin the peace you feel living this way, life is just simple and worths to be lived. I wonder, though how can you handle this very cold weather, you're probably used to. We are totally off-grid, so I could definitely identify with your having to use temporary measures while things were not functioning as usual. We have two or three different ways of managing heating, cooking, and lighting and charging batteries/devices. It is especially necessary during winter. Although we have given up certain modern conveniences, we also enjoy being free of dependence upon utility companies and government regulation of those utilities.

I've been through some difficulties in life. But today I see that thanks to these difficulties I am the person I am. A better person and I'm happy.
