Star and Stripe’s quirk has to be the one of the most broken if not the most broken in the verse. She basically can warp reality on a minor scale. Her creating an air Susanoo and catching the laser like Zeus was also a cool scene. What a dope character and dope first episode. 🔥

That quirk is so busted. Its like an all in 1 package. She could probably fly or breathe fire or freeze anything she touches or make herself elastic or bend light and make herself invisible.

I gotta say, Midoriya’s somber moment at the beginning of this made me feel some stuff. The somber mood in general followed by the intense fight gave me consistent chills.

Her powers are basically like how Orks work from Warhammer. If they believe something works, then it does, regardless of whether or not it logically should; for example, they paint their spaceships red because they think it makes it go fast, and so it does.

That flashback of All-Might was so hype, shit brought a lil tear to my eye. Horikoshi did a good job of recontextualizing that scene to make it the origin story for Star and Stripe.

Star and Stripe's Quirk is the true Definition of a Cheat code against the Final boss It's so Busted it's mind-blowing having a quirk like this she truly earns the Number One hero title

I love how AFO is like, "If I steal her quirk, the rest of the battle will be easy". And yeah. He's right. The power to assign rules over reality is super broken. We kinda saw hints of words being powerful before with the kid who has a manga for a face and can speak things into existence based on noises he makes. But this is a whole different level. If Shigaraki wasn't currently having an identity crisis, Star would've basically one or two tapped him. And yes, Star is the little girl All Might saves in the beginning of the first movie, two heroes. Speaking of Shigaraki, we see that Spinner is with AFO's real body. Now, we saw that AFO asked Dabi, Skeptic and Spinner to protect him last season. But Skeptic is off getting the remnants of the Liberation Army and Dabi is off doing his own thing. Toga is off in some alley. Only Spinner is with AFO. Now, normally the League sticks together(with Dabi occasionally being the one to run off). But that was when Shigaraki was in charge. This is AFO. The rest of the League don't have that connection with him like they do with Tomura. So they aren't hanging around 24/7. Only Spinner sticks around(presumably to keep an eye on whatever AFO does to Tomura). Speaking of Tomura, we see him fighting back in this episode. AFO said Tomura is surpassing both his and the doctor's expectations. And the fact that he still hasn't been fully taken over speaks to that. His hatred is so strong that it can hold quirks at bay or even fight them off. AFO plans to use Tomura's hatred to push through OFA. But it also works in another way. That same hatred is what's keeping Tomura from being completely swallowed up. It all started in that house. With a grain of hate. That built upon itself.

Stars and Stripes really is a Stand user among Quirk normies.

I love the callbacks to the movies. The scene of All Might saving star as a little girl is fhe opening scene frlm the furst MHA movie. Most MHA seasons start of sloe with so much dialogue but this premiere gets straight to the point. Cant wait for the rest of the first half.

It's pretty cool and heartwarming seeing how they tied this to the first movie. She's the little girl All Might saved in his introduction into America. She grew up to be the Number 1 hero in America.

I feel like she wouldve fought opponents whos names she doesnt know and figured out ways to still place orders on them. Like does saying "the person i touched" or "you" work? And also i feel like she could say "air, go into his lungs and expand" Writers gotta be careful when introducing characters with just broken abilities where their imagination is the limit etc. It was kinda the same with All for One where the best thing he came up with to kill All-Might was just a really strong punch. Like really? Nothing else could come to mind?
