Monsoon's broadcasting remarks like when Steve Lombardi wrestled "Understand Steve Lombardi was a graduate of the Terry Garvin School of Self Defense, Pat Patterson said he graduated with highest honors." That inside rib said a lot, especially when you put together Lombardi had about a 15-year NY run, with small pushes.
I remember during "The Stooges" era Brisco would come to the ring wearing his "Brisco Brothers Body Shop" Shirt and JR would say things like "I hear Patterson likes to do rear end work there." lol Another time he was like "Here comes Vince, followed by Slaughter, Brisco and taking up the rear is Patterson..just how he liks it." Such a savage.
What a coincidence, I'm actually sitting here in my office looking at several old 8 x 10 B&W photos, that my dad's had for almost 55 years. There of my dad and two of his friends ..Ray Stevens, (tag team partner of Pats in 1965, NWA World Tag Team Championships, known as "The Blond Bombers") and Joe Leonard ( 3 time AMA Grand National champion, and 10 year veteran at the Indy 500 in the late 60's and 70's) In the photos, they're sitting on a couple of Harley's, taken in the back of Hayward Harley Davidson bike shop in 1962. Actually, Ray didn't live too far from the shop, in the Niles district of Fremont California. Ray died in 1996, but its really good to see Pat doing well.
Cole S Never forget that it was on McMahon's platform and on McMahon's vision of "Sports Entertainment" that they were able to write and create television. Vince gets a lot of shit but it's his vision that launched the WWF in the 80's.
I bought this shoot. Was not bad. But 70% of it was bruce interviewing pat on his wrestling career. Its called in the office, not the pat Patterson documantary.
LouieB615 and after seeing how Vince McMahon buries guys that aren't WWE bred, he still decided to go there and work for him, I guess 200 points of his IQ were missing that day
Regardless of people saying Pat would walk into showers and stare at men... He had a fun sense of humor, seems like a bright funny cool guy... God bless all these athletes...
