So in this video Im trying to make myself like the ford ranger that I bought to replace my beloved Landrover defender a little more by fitting stupidly big, wobbly tyres to it! However it all goes wrong!

Having suffered the consequences of some tyre fitting tosser overtightening the 'lock' nuts (that any wheel thief has the tools to remove), I too binned mine. Bending tinwork is SOP for expedient mechanicery - heck, my brother cut a hole through the inner wing on his Mondeo to save hours on doing some suspension work. Then left it in case he needed to repeat the same job...

Had 30mm spacers on my defender for about 20 years , heavily off roaded .....no issues at all. They key is do get decent hubcentric ones , not the cheapest ones you can find ! I always use threadlock on the spacer nuts too.

make sure you swap front to back every 6k rangers eat front tyres if you don’t. Especially muds… can send you the evidence on come toyo OCs
