ABOUT ANTHONY
Anthony's musical touch as both composer and performer is connected with some of the most influential creative minds over the last 40 years. He’s composed and conducted original orchestral scores for over 80 feature films including Young Guns , Internal Affairs , The Man From Elysian Fields , 15 Minutes and Planes, Trains & Automobiles , been commissioned by the Los Angeles Philharmonic for his symphonic work "In the Family Way", written over one thousand TV commercials in a myriad of musical styles, co-founded Levels Audio Post (LA's premiere post production facility) and performed and arranged on big-box-office films and influential hit records such as Michael Jackson's Thriller .
His extensive work as a young arranger, orchestrator and performer for Quincy Jones , Jack Nitzsche , Lamont Dozier , Arthur Rubenstein and Giorgio Moroder was vital in launching his own career. His early years pioneering modular analog synthesizers along with his wide-ranging music scholarship positioned Anthony at the center of the music technology revolution. He attended the University of Southern California School of Music as a piano and composition major.

I was a Kurzweil K250 guy and had the chance to visit the studio in the late 80’s & early 1990’s. Something you guys said really rang out to me. Everybody there was just making music. No agenda other than exploring music. It was a wonderful and transformative experience.

The Who made a quadraphonic recording studio in London when recording quadrapheinia. It's now a dentist but the roof that the built to reflect the sound is still there and you can see it in the waiting room.

The one series I’m subscribed to that I give a thumbs up to before watching. 👍 Anthony is such a natural conversationalist when he’s speaking to people about recording and synthesis. Because he’s genuinely curious about the history behind all these stellar recordings. 😃

I think Stevie cut his teeth playing the clubs so that's why he likes working at the late hours and that when his body clock says it's time to turn it on. But like your man just said, "he's entitled to do what the f**k he wants." 🤘

3:49 Look at that thing. With the Beethoven bust statue. We have the luxury of 128+ tracks, emulation+fx, on our laptops and we still are too lazy to record These guys lugged a 16 track behemoth and all of their synth gear into their basement, good lord

Stevie did leave Motown in 1971 but resigned in 1972 with a better deal.

Margouleff is such a cool guy. The stuff I've seen with Cecil he didin't want to give any credit to anybody, and he's mostly bragging and not telling awesome stories like Robert. Not in an awful way, but in a cartoony way. Cecil seems like Squidward from Sponge-Bob, and Margouleff is more of a chill Jerry Garcia type.
