Prehistoric pottery can become a source of inspiration for current potters. Throughout the documentary, potters and artisans experiment with the (re)creation of very burnished vessels from four European societies of the Bronze Age: El Argar, Únětice, Füzesabony and Vatin. In four chapters, we closely follow the manufacturing processes of these ceramics, from the search for the raw material to the cooking of the final product. The production, which had Spain, Germany, Hungary and Serbia as a backdrop, is part of the "Crafting Europe in the Bronze Age and Today" (2018-2019) project, under the "Creative Europe" program. The documentary has been screened in the official selection of the Festival Internacional de Cine Arqueológico del Bidasoa 2019 (Basque Country), Rassegna Internazionale del Cinema Archeologico di Rovereto 2020 (Italy), Rassegna del Documentario e della Comunicazione Archeologica di Licodia Eubea 2020 (Italy), International Archaeology Film Festival of Split 2020 (Croatia), Firenze Archeofilm 2021(Italy), and Artefacta/Cinarchea Film Festival of Dusseldorf 2021 (Germany), winning a special mention by the jury of the Festival of Rovereto.

Really enjoyed watching the video!! Would be curious in how long should the pots have a rest before they are put in the fire and how long should the fire last?

Once done, we have to let them dry for a few days, depending on the heat and humidity it will take more or less time before put them in the fire, which should be, at least, around 700ºC
