I used to get home from work in time to watch 'Barefoot Contessa". Sadly, no longer. Ina Garten is just wonderful.

I wish you were my math and science teacher in high school because I love the way you seem to think and how calm you also seem to be. Turkey dinners make me nervous, I sit with a calculator & pen and paper. The toughest part fo me is getting everything on the table at the same (ish) time, but I serve the works (everything fresh) I’ve spoiled my family by making homemade cranberries mashed potatoes, fresh green beans , roasted Brussel sprouts, no bread because I make 2 kinds of stuffing as well as a ton of mashed potatoes& if the tomatoes are still good this time of year I’ll make a tomato & sweet onion with an oil & vinegar dressing if you’ve run out of steam or hit your wall then rice wine vinegar I use that for my husband & I and truthfully he has no idea it’s just vinegar..I figure I’m 70 yrs old, so soon one of my sons & wife will take it over 🙏🙏🙏 But Passover & the high holidays are a heck of a lot more work, because I also make a lot of traditional Jewish dishes and invite people I’ve heard around the Jewish Temple or the universities (my good deeds for the year). Happy Thanksgiving! One more thing I make myself is pies, usually 1pumpkin, blueberry, apple and lemon meringue

I actually do the opposite of ina because I like to put the two most talkative people near each other because most of the time I find if they are apart they yell back and forth and they and they monopolize the conversation that way but put them together and they can have their own private Conversation and I was gonna talk without being interrupted you just need to find someone who can next the two people who can handle those kind of people
