I’m a super light peachy olive like you, the gold-green is in the undertone. And as an Egyptian, I’ve really been appreciating the Mediterranean-focused humor that you’ve been uploading lately. I wish more people didn’t falsely lump us in with Arabs and Indias.
So here's the example of what Anthony says at 1:47, right? :-))) "People, don't be racist to me and also, don't mistake me for some Arab or Indian..." Wow.
@@cioccolateriaveneziana yes!! Arabs invaded us and forced us into their religion, outlawed our culture, and merged our original language with theirs to create Egyptian Arabic. And then the extreme ignorance that Abdel Nasser’s communism spread on purpose in order to create an “Arab” Egypt to brown nose the actual Arabs by suddenly demonizing the Egyptian Jews was the final nail in that coffin. Us Egyptians are NOT Arabs, Arabs are only from the Arabian peninsula, the DNA, historical, and cultural evidence is very consistent about that.
@@cioccolateriaveneziana There’s obviously nothing wrong with being Arab or Indian, I find it extremely insulting to be accused of being something which I am not! I am a Mediterranean woman, not Indian or Arab.
@@winxclubstellamusa Ok, I think I get it. My bad that I thought the Arab conquest totally assimilated the original population. I know that many Moroccans are Amazighs and not Arabs ethnically (they still have their own language, they have some minority status although not many rights, and the statistics in Morocco are probably fake to make it look like the percentage of Amazigh population is lower than it actually is so the Arab majority status is not threatened). I didn't know Egypt would have a similar situation.
I would just like to say that I'm a bit sorry the comment section was kind of hijacked by us discussing ethnicities, distracting from Anthony's lovely new video...
