I have an alternative method for calculating SPS: 1. Take the BPM. 2. Multiply the BPM by the song’s fastest part’s shortest note duration divided by 4 (eg. if the fastest verse contains 24th notes, divide the BPM by 6.) 3. Divide this product by 60. 4. Label this quotient as SPS. For example, The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku has a BPM of 240. The fastest part is sung in 12th notes, so divide this by 4. Now you have 3. Take the BPM of 240 and multiply it by three. We have 720. Now divide 720 by 60. We now have 12. This is the SPS. Lemme know if this method is good or bad!
With this method in place… the fastest part of Sadistic.Music∞Factory is actually the fastest song in Vocaloid. BPM: 165 Fastest part note duration: 24th (165x6)/60=16.5. 16.5 SPS. Tongue Twister Test, on the other hand… (Peak) BPM: 240 Fastest part note duration: 16th (240x4)/60=16. 16 NPS. Oh by the way, if the fastest part note duration is 24th, just divide the BPM by 10 to get the SPS. The number method is: B: the BPM D: note duration divided by 4 Calculation is: (B*D)/60
Hey! I'm the person who's trying to quote on quote decrypt the lyrics for ソノ雨ハ音モ無ク(Silent Rain), and I've made a small discovery regarding the SPS for the fast part of the song. In 24.32 seconds; Miku sang, in total, about 384 syllables. The BPM of the song is 158, and the fast part contains 16 measures exactly. In one singular measure; she sang 24 syllables. Dividing 384 by 24.32; we get 15.79 syllables per second For it to reach 16 SPS, it would take her 1.013 seconds. Which is pretty fast! The SPS for Silent Rain is actually slower than the one in the video!!! But even with that discovery, it stays on it's #3 ranking, and it is still absolutely one of the fastest songs in Vocaloid history! But, just a small discovery for you to know!!!!! :D
nice list! i dont listen to vocaloid music, but some of these songs are actually cool! (also minor nitpick, cyber thunder cider is supposed to say 12 in 1.09 instead of 11 in 1.09 lol) once again cool list!
this video still goes hard lmao also have you seen words addressed to the prickly world (the fast one) or no shoushitsu gekijouban? they're absurdly fast and idk if they would make it onto a future vocaloid list (i got them from alaoino's lists lol)
www.youtube.com/@alaoino this guy! he (actually idk their gender) made a fastest vocaloid song list and while im not sure about all his calculations, they're mostly good as he puts effort into them and he fixes his videos too (he's fixing one now i think). he gave you props in the list as well lol, you should check him out (also ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8s-ELcRDudg.html you've probably seen the nerdcore list, but just in case lol) 👍
MAID FACTOR MENTION!!!! I TAUGHT MYSELF TO SING THAT ALL OF IT EVEN THE GODSPEED PARTS AND I'M WORKING P MEI CHALLENGE RN!!!!(miku ver tho) AND GEKISHOU Himitsu keisatsu mention... My dad likes that song. Project diva going wild. Sorry for long comment
I lowkey expected Den Paradigm to end up here, just not that high up, and, really, it's a clever way to make a ton of sps (5 syllable word three times in a row)
10:53 I didn’t know that Den Paradigm is here All I heard was :Den - paradigm(4 times) and Den - paradox - s(Japanese transliteration is “xu” right?) for 4 times, di-di-di-digm… Was that the correct lyrics?
The calculation in this video is incorrect. "Denparadox" is actually 6 syllables since japanese doesn't allow almost all consonant clusters (2 consonants in a row), it's transliterated as "denparadokusu".
I've just also found strange breakcore Vocaloid song writer Daijoubu-P, you can check out his songs. But remember that his songs are very psychodelic. I find The face and Suicide Girl are really fast but it's like not singing but talking.
Also what about "Hatsune Miku' Brain Exercises". That bg voice at 3:32 is talking fast enough. I don't know whether it reaches one second to count but why not.
seleP should have more songs on this list. LILIUM DOLL, LILIUM DOLLS, BLOODLINE both are faster than BLOODERROR, and Tielli and Ufena Lilium Mix both have a small segment of 13 syllables in a mere 2 beats at 154 bpm for Tielli and 160 for Ufena, reaching 50% higher speeds than BLOODERROR. But at least seleP got some recognizion xd
@@MroewThissss, in Spotify I usually creat a playlist of songs that sound similar, and then check out at the bottom of the playlist what Spotify recommends, usually it's music that aligns with the genre it helps a lot :)
Oh ok so for a second i was wondering wheres hatsune miku but then i realzied the composer is the literal name for the (japanese?) Person who made jt lol
I tried to sing some of the songs. Here are the ones I could sing. KICK-ASS * LITERALLY (With some trip-ups) God-ish Non-breath oblige (Needed to see the lyrics tho) Cinderella (Took me a bit to get this one) Mischievous Function (Also took me a bit to get this one) The Vampire What's Up? Pop! A Tale of Six Trillion Years and a Night Sincerity: Sincerity: Drastic Treatment for Pretended Innocence The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku (Took me a while to get this one. I had to slow the song down, sing at that speed, then slowly ease into full speed) Two Faced Lovers World's End Dance Hall (With some trip ups) Nyan Cat Song (With ease, It's just repeating one syllable) Kasane Territory (The "Teto-to Teto" messed me up at first, but I got the hang of it as I continued) sukisukisukisukisukisuki (Just repeating 2 syllables) Francium (with some trip-ups) YAMINABE!!!! Denparadigm (Just repeat "Denparadigm" and "Den-Paradox" at the end. Then for the end, it's "Den Paradigm, Den Paradox (x2) De-de-den paradigm) Machine Gun Poem Doll (With some trip ups) Secret Police (If I have the lyrics) Silent Rain (somewhat - Thank you @boohasblue for transcribing the lyrics) Sadistic Music Factory (Just start speaking gibberish at the part. It's just complete nonsense at the end, The lyrics are literally "XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX!") High-Speed Tongue Twister Test It would be cool if someone figured out what the lyrics for Silent Rain are lol
Good news; I'm trying to decrypt Silent Rain's lyrics (been trying for.... almost 7 years, it is basically a childhood dream of mine.); when it's finished, should I remind you on this comment? Sorry if this seems really random; it's just because it's a very dear project for me
@@boohasblue Nice. I saw a few videos of people trying to decrypt Silent Rain's lyrics. One of them tried to do it by ear, and another used AI. The AI one was translatable, but idk what the other one means. But yeah, please do update me! What's your progress so far?
@@MrVirtualMachine0 oh dang, sorry for not responding! Didn’t see this Progress has been going pretty well *right now,* but for most of its lifespan as a project, it has remained in hiatus for a good while before my pc was fixed. Right now i am in the middle of decrypting the second part of it, in a bit of a slow pace but it’s getting there. I am doing this by ear, so it is a bit difficult and the lyrics will absolutely have a lot of inaccuracies, but it is my childhood dream and something that has been going on for basically 6 years. It’ll get done by at most; a month from now. Unsure of a set date, but it’ll absolutely get done by this year! Thank you for reading and I’ll keep giving ya updates. Another thing; on the most popular video of silent rain; the one with 30k views, you can easily find my comment with the unfinished lyrics there. So, if you wanna practice the first fast part; you’re free to! :]
@@boohasblueHey, thanks for responding! I also saw that you have a Discord group for that project, but it expired. Could you update that link link with a new one? I was hoping to join because I've been wondering what the lyrics are for the song.
@@MrVirtualMachine0 I’ll try; although I am a tad bit busy with school right now I’ll prob make an essay like video for the song when it’s finished too, but my schedule right now is a tad bit full But if you want to add me on discord, my handle there is the same here :]
pinocchiop gigap and cosmo are like basically the top of fast songs (yes im aware that pinocchiop was at the bottom mainly but thats still top 50 out of like.. hundreds of thousands by now)
Lunachu is severely under-represented in this list. 楓 (Kaede) has 252 syllables over 20 seconds, for 12.5 SPS, putting it at 25th. 禁断少女プラスA (Forbidden Girl Plus A) also hits 12 SPS over 1 second, using your cherry-picking method. Both 楓 and ソノ雨ハ音モ無ク have more consistent speed compared to many songs featured here.
question, do you know what's the fastest one someone has managed to sing, before watching this I thought fubuki doing disappearence was like the biggest accomplishment in human history, now I am wondering if someone has done any on the top 10
