For all my north friends... you name this dish whatever you want..you tease how much ever can... but this is ultimate food than your so called biriyani where you mix rice with gravy of your choice. Mutton or chicken or fish or prawn. I was looking for this type of biriyani badly in Pune but found rice with gravy n named it as biriyani. You should all taste this once n comment here.. if you still say what you guys prepare is biriyani ..then i don't want to spoil this lovely receipe naming it as biriyani.. its more than that. Try it once n comment.. simply don't spread hatred

I see many people commenting without knowing various cuisine of India. Each state follows different food style and it is special for those people. For eg, Telugu people love hyderabadi style, keralite loves Thalaserry biryani, Tamil people like this type of biriyani, kannada people like mandi biriyani.. And still there are types of biryani based on region. Other region people wont like, unless until people are craze enough to taste other regional food.

Sathyakumar Panneerselvam ..see brother no one is saying that this is bad food or that it wont taste good as such... Many are commenting that this is pulao and not biryani only because of the cooking process and not because they hate this food. See biryani is layered meat with part boiled rice and pulao is rice cooked in the gravy of the meat itself... I have been to chennei many times and i really love your type of biryani and specially the brinjal chutney that they serve with it.

idiots seeking hygiene wont mind to ask a single question in a 5 star hotel where the waiter spits and gets you an order at a hyper inflated price. I have seen several of these hygiene freaks rubbing their shoe soles and dipping their contaminated hands in food directly. All they want is they want to prove that they are a cut above you. Yes, adding to some previous comments, technically this is a pulao. It's a Pulao is when you cook the raw rice in the same gravy as the meat pieces. Whereas in biryani the rice is pre-cooked to just below fully done. This rice is then layered with cooked meat and gravy or this rice is poured on top of cooked meat in gravy or over raw meat in marinade. The raw meat style is also known as kacchi biryani whereas the cooked meat method is known as pakki biryani. Finally the biryani is cooked on low heat just like the pulao.

No one is going to buy the food free of cost. No one is going to check the kitchen except the hotel people. If cooking is their profession they should keep the place neat and tidy. Which customer knows how clean are they making it is the duty of people in the food industry to keep the place and tidy. Customers just eat and go. The people who are involved in cooking and person who is incharge of the hotel must consider the health of the customers. Nowadays people are not worried of the taste they are worried of the hygiene.
