I know right. This is very fascinating. The only thing I can think of that reminds me of these people is the movie "Wrong Turn". I went to high school with a couple of people who were brother and sister. They allegedly were incest bred. Their mom and dad were first cousins as well. As a young kid they would scare me because of how they looked. Years later I got hired at a local hotel as the Housekeeping manager in my town and I interviewed and hired the sister and her daughter. Her daughter was deformed just like her, unfortunately. This lady and her daughter were great workers. They were better than most of my regular employees. They however, ended up quitting because their co-workers would laugh and stare at her and her daughter. I tried to get them to stay and offered to put them on a earlier shift in my laundry department but they didn't want to do that. I think about her and daughter often. I say, shame on people who are relatives and decide to get together and have kids. It's the poor kids who end up suffering the abuse from other stupid people. These kids can't help how they were conceived.

DelmezaRane I’m pretty sure regardless of what nationality someone is if their parents are cousins or brother and sister they are going to have problems. And congenital issue that runs in their family line, the chances of it occurring are doubled when it comes to a baby from the same dna. There’s another video on RU-vid of the dangers of cousins marrying, happened somewhere in Iran. They had 5 children all but one was severely mentally handicapped and blind. There’s also anther family that had four children all of them walked using their hands like dogs, they were brother and sister I believe. It’s DNA not nationality.

I'm wondering if his special needs or as Mark said "mental illness" is actually autism. My 13 year old son is nonverbal autistic, yet vocal. He is not inbred but I can see where autism can be more common with inbreds. With genetics, our chromosomes pair off in a programmed fashion while our nervous system develops. If their trying to pair up and too many are identical because mom and dad are brother and sister, they delete themselves almost like it's short circuiting and concepts don't fully form for example, especially in communication. But it can happen more outwardly in appearance also. Like the lady with one blind eye.

@Courtnie Adam Maybe with the gofundme they could get him something like this! 😍 He definitely understands, he just has issues communicating verbally, so this would be an excellent tool. 🤗 The first time Ray pointed out past the porch earlier on in the video when asked about his brother I was wondering if there was a grave out there, but until the cameraman finally went out there with him I wasn't positive. My aunt had a brother had been injured (I think by a fever but not positive) as a baby that could talk but was handicapped mentally, and sometimes when he would have trouble it would take some puzzling to figure out what he meant and he'd point at something but it would take a bit to figure out how it fit in. Ray seemed sweet, I hope they are able to do something like this for him. 🙏

Ray doesn't necessarily need an electronic device. Some picture cards with basic words would probably help. They use this method for nonverbal autistics.
