Cartman C you know what, he transcends the level of Oscar, he doesn't need one to prove that he is one of the best to ever direct a motion picture, just like Leo didn't need one to prove he was a great actor. I'm just hoping Dunkirk will be his big break!
what does an oscar even mean? and why does it matter? I'm sure Nolan doesn't give 2 shits about an oscar. He started making movies because he loves it, not because he wanted to win a meaningless oscar
@@tonyjoseph5197 He knows that! He was referring to the time travel aspect shown in Tenet. If a person travels reverse from the future to the past, then he would have watched Tenet first & then this movie.
It's been over a decade since this film came out and people are still watching it, having a blast, analazing the themes and wondering about the ending. That is what I call a modern classic.
@anasmansoori7135 Well, at top of my head, there's The Matrix, which may or may not have inspired Inception, and Paprika which has a similar idea of travelling through dreams and others consciousness.
I'd say this trailer did justice. And as far as marketing goes, it became very influential on other movie trailers throughout the 2010's specifically with the music
The trailer was seriously good though. I watched it repeatedly and I couldn't name a movie at the time I was more excited to see it because of the trailer and the idea of the movie.
@@LautaroTessi I love Jurassic Park, but that was also a movie from my childhood. When I said "at the time" I meant more that nothing was being made at the time that made me say "I want to see this movie" like Inception.
I saw it three times in theaters. I had to keep going back and try to put the puzzle together. One of those films that just hit you and when you walked out of the theater, you couldn't stop thinking about it. I liked listening to some the audience when the credits rolled and they just couldn't figure it out. Just hearing that Hans Zimmer score playing in theaters.
@@desipop3654 hell nah. PTA is one of the most pretentious directors ever. There will be blood was decent and magnolia is his only masterpiece. Don’t ever compare an amazing director to a pretentious one
@@gabrielescaran573 Nolan worked on the script for inception for 10 years, meaning he started around 1999. There are elements that were put in from paprika after its release, but implying that it was ripped off and saying Paprika was "long before" inception isn't right. The concept as nolan used it was brilliant, not just a stolen idea
If any other Si-Fi movies has reached the quality of Inception then it's definitely Interstellar. Christopher Nolan has given his master piece which will remain in our hearts for over a century.
+sachoslks Your comment made me laugh hard cuz in brazil that movie was translated as "A Origem" (The Origin) and I don't know why I'm saying this, i hate my life.
By reading your comment, I found out that Nolan was considering The Riddler as the main Villain for The Dark Knight Rises and if that happened, Nolan would've chose DiCaprio for the role
It's actually quite common for directors to drag their favorite actors from movie to movie. Take Tim Burton/Johny Depp, for example. Or James Cameron/Kurt Russel. But yeah, Nolan drags along the entire cast. Not that it is a bad thing, it is an amazing team.
@@yulopthegreat "I feel you bro, like trapped in the dream forever and struggle to get out." The more you struggle to get out you the more you are likely to fail! The secret is to relax into state that you want achieve. You must replace one state by another and you do this by deliberately creating a mental vacuum which the subconscious hates and then tricking your mind into the new state. The film 'The Shawshank Redemption' (TSR) shows you how to get out but this can take weeks, months and even years. Further, there may be may people who are associated with you who may not want you to leave. Like Andy in TSR, discuss this with NOBODY!
21 July 2021 - I watched this film almost 11 years ago in September 2010. And it blew me away. This was the first film I watched twice in Cinema. Great memories.
in my humble opinion christopher nolan's masterpieces are on another level, they cannot compete with normal films so therefore they cannot be judged fairly with the other pictures at the oscars
Oh. Nolan's entire filmography wil not stand a second against _The Conversation._ Which is just one work of *Francis Ford Coppola.* 1 Coppola film >>> 11 Nolan films
I remember watching this trailer and thinking that this has to be, without a shadow of doubt, the dumbest thing I've seen. A friend wanted to see it and I reluctantly went and watched it thinking I would probably sleep through half of it. When I came out of the movie theater there was no doubt in my mind that Inception was the best movie ever made. Period. There has never been a movie that had me leaning forward at the edge of my seat for a good hour.
How did the trailer make you think this would be boring? Just curious because i really love this trailer! I feel like it was also very influential on the way trailers are stylized.
Honestly before I saw this movie, all I heard were great things about it so I watched the trailer and got really disappointed lol, the trailer didn't make it look very good but after watching it I was astonished at how amazing of a film it was.
@@paulgibbons2320 Yes it is, you can't put so much context and details in a trailer. Have you payed attention while watching? I don't think you fully understand it, you should rewatch it some time.
Its been 13 years since this movie was released i watched it at the theaters and i can truly say it has to be the best moment of my entire freaking life, i got a lot older I was 13 back then now i am 26 and it still is my favorite movie of all time i watched it like 16 time in the following years and it still blow my mind when i see it
This is actually one of the best trailers I've ever seen. Has just enough to entice you to see the film yet doesn't reveal any important plot points or details. All trailers should be like this.
I am one of the rare ones, apparently, who haven't seen the movie yet. The trailer is, to me, a bit flat. Quiant. Almost boring. Not in a hurry to see the movie now
i dont know why but since 2009-2010 i have lost notion of time....cant believe this movie came out 14years ago.....felt like it was maybe 4-5years.....damn time flies
So you're telling me a team consisting of Shadowcat, decoy Ra's Al Ghul,Bane, Robin, Indian dude from Avatar and Leo di Caprio try to break into Scarecrow's mind?
I've been lucid dreaming since I was a young child, but this movie definitely intensified it all the more for me. The things I'm able to do in my dreams are insane, it's no wonder that I can sleep up to 12 hours straight.
Laura Lopez I was getting vivid lucid dreams but when I put too much screen time on videogames I lost everything. I can't remember my dreams now. I guess interest reduced I guess😳. I don't know what to do.
"I am deeply involved in lucid dreaming" Who isn't? If you haven't figured that out you missed the whole concept of the film. We live in a lucid dream, except when we're in the dream within the dream (when we sleep) which can be as real (vivid) as the waking dream or or as fake (lucid) as the normal waking day!
I don't know who's the "more genius' ingredient in this masterpiece - Christopher Nolan or Leonardo DiCaprio! Either way, this movie production and its' visual effect is taking the viewers to a parallel world never to be seen again on any screen! 🔥
These people don't know they're talking about that's where they Cloud chased by commenting on a old trailer of a movie that came out in 2010 go write about it in your own s*** bro
it's actually satoshi kon, it's his original idea/movie who inspired C.Nolan to make inception. he basically ripped off his movie but with tiny changes lmaoo
Inception why i love it 1. Great Writing and Directing by Christopher Nolan 2. Great Music by Hans Zimmer 3. Great cast of actors like Leonardo Dicaprio, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Elliot Page, Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Marion Cotillard and Michael Caine 4. Great Special Effects
***** When in the comment did I say Nolan movies? Sorry about that I should have been more clear. I was just sharing some of my favorites. One movie that is really, really good is Snowpiercer. It is on Netflix and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. First walking into it I just expected a revolt movie (because it is about people revolting) but it has twists and turns and was actually really crazy. I love Memento and that movie is definitely on my top list as well. Whiplash is more of a drama and Nightcrawler is like a thrilling crime. I highly suggest Snowpiercer but everyone likes a different style. Good list you have their as well
@@xxcris20xx I agree bro but every one has their own opinion inception is great but interstellar has a separate thrill any way both are Nolan's magic ❤️
Between Inception and Interstellar, I'd vote for Inception any day. Interstellar is awesome, but it's still based on a basic concept of time dilation in Physics. The idea of Inception is original
You are confusing the Oscar with a paycheck. I can see it now: "Nominated for two Oscars: second grip and deputy assistant DP. A must-see adventure! " No thanks.
This Movie was Ahead of it's time Edit:- I think Marion Cotillard don't get enough appreciation for her part, her face expressions are so lit 🔥🔥🔥. The Vulnerability shown by "Mal" is so good 👌👌
Me watching the movie: *enjoying it* One of the lines being something like: "Ever realize that in dreams you start halfway in? How did you get there" Me going to bed later that night having a dream: Waking up: "Wow its true"
Inception is the best movie on this planet!!!! Before watching it I didn't really admired DiCaprio but after hearing so much about it from everyone I decided to finally just watch it and it was incredible!!! There are no words that I can think of to explain it! After watching for once I watched many other times too!!!!!!!!.....at the end I realized that it was a dream...dream about watching inception and never actually watching it!!! Damn so here I am watching trailer before actually watching the movie...
One of the best movies that you can see ever , and even after 10 year, it still great. Nolan's movies are just like rare jewelers that you can not find them anywhere.
Leonardo DiCaprio Tom Hardy Joseph Gordon-Levitt Ken Watanabe Cillian Murphy Ellen Page (now as Elliot Page) Marion Cotillard Michael Caine In a Christopher Nolan movie This cast will never be repeated!
Just finished watching this movie and let me tell you it was worth every second of it!!! SUCH A GREAT MOVIE LIKE WOW I HAVE NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE THIS MOVIE it’s literally a MASTERPIECE!!!!!
Funny thing is, this song is called Mind Heist written and composed by Zack Hemsey. This was just an orchestral song he made and Nolan liked it and included it in the trailer. This song wasn't made for the movie, which seems like luck to me lol
Watch other movies. It's a great film, but it's not a masterpiece. Scorsese, Fincher, Lynch, Kubrick, Tarantino, Villeneuve... There are many better directors than Nolan out there with greater track records. And even there I'm only discussing american directors.
Director of Memento.. Director of Memento & Insomnia.. Director of Memento & Batman Begins.. Director of Memento, Batman Begins & The Prestige.. Director of The Dark Knight.. Director of The Dark Knight & Inception.. Director of Dark Knight Triology & Inception.. Director of The Dark Knight Triology, Inception & Interstellar... Oh Boy...thats something, isn't?
+Moris Smor This is what I loved about the trailer. It was just enough to make me really want to see the movie, but didn't show very much. When I saw the movie, it was the most incredible movie I'd seen in ages.
Anybody else watching Inception for the first time finally right now after hearing about it so much over the past decade and feeling guilty for not watching this spectacle when it was first released? Yeah... cuz that’s me right now
I first watched this movie when I was a child . It took me watching it a few more times over a decade to understand the deeper meaning and can't describe how mindblown I was when I actually understood what the movie was about. One of the greatest movies ever made
