Incessant rain disrupts normal life in Dima Hasao
Incessant rain since Wednesday night has disrupted normal life in Dima Hasao followed by landslide and flood in different parts of the district.
Meanwhile, the NC Hill Autonomous Council has ordered for closure of all schools in Haflong to avoid any inncident.
The Dima Hasao District Disaster Management Authority have warned the netizen to avoid unnecessary travelling till 4th May.
Haflong- Silchar road communications has been disrupted since the road in between Harangajao and Miyungkhro has been washed away, following this huge numbers of vehicle remain stranded in both side.
Several houses at Ramnagar area in Haflong were inundated by water following from Haflong lake.
Several fish have also escaped from fisheries.
Power supply has been cut off to avoid any probable incident, though there are no reports of line snap but poles are found bent in some places.
Several days after the derailment of goods train in hill district drastically affecting rail running through the route. The Railway board on Wednesday have announced green signal for movement of train through hills district, due to landslide in railway track and water inundated in tunnel, all the train have been cancelled or short terminated.
