Thank you. I am a ski patroller. Each year we do a refresher on a third of what we are supposed to know and be proficient at. This years refresher has a scenario and asks what we would do? Are we an on the spot IC? Do we on the spot make someone an IC? What if we have only had I-100? I have been on a fire crew. I had no decisions to make. I have gone out as a single resource. I took I-200 as well as specialized training for that position. But I have never been a squad boss, a crew chief, a division sup. So imagining myself as an IC is new to me. I am sure that if I were an IC it would be for a very short time and that I would hand over command to a more experienced and more qualified individual as soon as possible.
