Thanks for watching Stormlight absolutely agree, I will still do the campfire method when the weather is nice, this is made mainly for winter in the UK where I can just set and forget.

You could probly put a decent sized ball bearing in there and just point one lower for the crushed ones dropped through. 😂 If there's a little wiggle room, you could manually tilt one burner.

Hi CC, thanks for watching, That crossed my mind when I thought about a better basket, I love the idea, if I come across a better basket that might just happen. The burners do have enough wiggle room but I was thinking of adding a third at the back to deal with any material that falls through, totally dealt with in one go. Gotta love you tube comments for the help and ideas that people come up with, thanks Charlie

@scouseurbanminer5106 Great seeing custom builds. There was one other thing... I bet you could attach some stainless mesh easily with a flap that hangs over inside to cover those slits that they are falling through. Thanks for showing!

:) Good idea, I think im resigned to re-working the cage completely based on what we said earlier, I like the idea of being able to use it as a sort of starter ball mill to get things moving. I will do an update at some point but got a few things on the go at the minute so will use it as is for now and work around the issues. I'm always on here looking at people making stuff, inspires me but then I find another vid and decide to watch that instead of cracking on :). If you like custom builds check out my fume hood video's, sorry for the total length of them but I put them together in parts so you don't have to sit through them in one go. Each one has the same layout as this build with a 3d model showing that particular part. I also recommend you check out Robert Murray Smith (Thinking and tinkering), the channel is superb. He mostly does energy efficiency stuff, homemade wind turbines etc, he's like the A-Team but on his own. Definitely worth a subscription to his channel.

@scouseurbanminer5106 ooh excellent. Haha, yes, that sounds very familiar. Having to go back and incinerate again after crushing is something I would like to condense into one, so this looks like a promising build to base off. Thanks for the suggestions! A cylinder cutting jig came to mind when I watched... I actually think it may have been one of Murray's videos 😂

You did fill that bottle with water first to get the gas out, right?

lol Craig :) Yeah but it was emptied and rinsed out months ago. Good advice for anyone thinking of ever cutting a gas bottle open though, thanks
