I bought this one after watching your review and it's been brilliant for me. I do some home brewing and make bottle labels using the removable 62mm labels and the 24mm round labels for the flip-tops. The nice thing is that cheaper off-brand label rolls are also easy to find. You won't believe how much time it saves me without messing about with printing and cutting A4 paper, glue and soaking off the damn things when reusing the bottles.
I am thinking of buying one of these. Just wondering if it will accept cheap locally available printing rolls. I don't wanna get hooked on to brother for the rolls and labels.
Dave - not actually sure the video quality is as good as last broadcast. It may simply be that the settings are slightly off with the new camera 🎥 - it’s quite dark compared to usual.
The Sony does deliver a lot of detail in the video, nice depth of field as well. I have noticed that there is a lot less blurring on fast movements like your hands. The camera does seem to want to focus more on your face than the labels when you brought the label close to the lens, but the auto focus was faster than the previous camera. The only negative is the video was a bit darker, either the settings need to be changed or more light needs to be implemented. The printer is pretty cool, very versatile and we all know how much you love to make labels! LOL. The speed of the label maker is impressive and the quality is of the prints, including the image, is really good. Definitely worth the money. In closing I would like to say so far I am impressed with the camera, I would like to see a demo on how the microphone set up works, only because I am not sure if you had the audio going through your 2i2 or straight through the camera, as of right now you have me thinking of purchasing this camera! LOL
Hi! Thanks for the review! Just curious. were you able to use this printer with a bar code scanner, to automate printing, instead of having ot use the printer's menu?
Is there a way to print multiple labels at the same time? Not copies, but different labels altogether- for ex: I need to print 50 labels for 50 different addresses. Can that be done all at once from the software on Mac?
I’m REALLY sorry to bother you, but I’ve been trying to figure this out for 3 weeks. Brother 820QL-820NWB, every time I print anything it’s got an underscore. It’s ruining product labels and costing a lot of money to keep buying tape. Could you please explain how I can fix this using mobile app,as if you’re talking to an amoeba lmao That’s probably still giving me too much credit when it comes to technology. Thank you 😊
I am not 100% sure on this and would suggest contacting Brother Support. However, a few things to try. If you scale up your label, does it still print the line in the same place? If the line stays in the same place your printer could need cleaning or the thermal header is damaged. That’s my best guess.
I have this machine. I bought it recently. I bought it to make shipping labels (standard large ones) 62mm x 30.48m. My question is; if I buy labels that are the same size but are NOT made from brother, will the machine have no problem printing it ? Thank you :)
Hi. Thanks for the video - my question is that when I transfer a label template to the printer the 'wrap text' options stops working. I have set the text box to 'Fixed Frame Size' in the P-Touch editor and all looks OK. When I transfer I do a preview and the text hasn't wrapped. Also the same when I transfer and print a label. Kev.
Hi. Would you know if the DK-22205 labels will work for this printer? I have an older model printer with a lot of labels & would hate to waste them. Thanks.
For this moment i got a Brother QL-710W i am searching for a new (more efficient) labelprinter, I use a Mac and the main problem i got is i must always make a new label for a new client as Brother does not support more adresses at once (On Mac) so not mailings, Dymo and Leitz icon should do that but i have heart Leitz does not work very well in a Network (i have more computers on my adres).
The video quality has changed a lot. It is a lot less blurry on the edges. Am I right if I claim that you increased the bit rate of the stream as well?
@@geekanoids Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! That's a shame it doesn't, but still looks like a good solution for quick quality labels. Cheers
