I used to crochet back when I was 15. I was making an afghan and never completed it, but I saved it along with the yarn. Now I’m 60 years old and ready to start working on it again. Thank you for inspiring me to do so. You do beautiful work💯👍

It reminds me of a cross over stitch in knitting. And I always tried to make it myself for crocheting, the internet has shown me that my childhood yarn fantasies were not crazy! lol ♥
Many years ago my grandmother made something similar to this and she called it broomstick lace. In fact she made one of my daughters baby blanket of this in a soft pink.
Yes, this is the same as broomstick lace. I still have man of the broomstick needles of different sizes, and i've made plenty of those. I love the stitch style. You can use anything that resembles those broomstick needles period
Broomstick Lace - looks pretty when it is done. I like this variation of a single crochet in every loop vs a 4 single crochets through all 4 loops. Thanks for sharing

Created out of thin air? You've never heard of broomstick lace? Lol. The craft is called crochet and the method used in this video is broomstick lace, neither of which was invented by this RU-vidr. Praise the people who invented these things thousands of years ago or tweaked them hundreds of years ago. Oh and everything was created by someone out of thin air. Then others copy. That's how human civilization works.
