Yo my dudes and dudettes what's good? welcome back to the live stream of my struggles, it's time again for the "IN THE ATTIC WITH ANNE HOUR" Today we'll take a look at this funky bookcase that's hides the entrance to my secret attic door. If you haven't already, smash that fucking like button and ring the bell to stay up to date on all things Franktastic.
If you're referring to the blue exterior door, I had to look again but I think it was a water spigot. She didn't appear to turn it, it may rely on fingerprint tech
Honestly that first bookcase one was my favourite. Dont want electrics and slow moving parts that can go wrong or have someone catch you going in or out. Simple and stylish works best.
When i lived in germany in the 70's i was hanging out with a friend at his house. He told me there was a tunnel under his house that went for about 2 blocks. I didnt believe it. But he took me to a closet in one of the room. And sure enough. Their was a door and stairs leading down to a long hall under the house. It went on at least an 8th of a mile. And their was rooms. Later i found out it was built back in the 50's for US Military familys to go to in the nighborhood incase of an attack by russians. It was forgotten over time. I guess. It has access to i think 2 other homes along its route. We could see inside every house on his street. Nobody even knew it was their except his family i guess.
My wife and I inherited her fathers home, after a couple years I decided to remodel the basement and when I did all the measurements something was not adding up. The basement was smaller than the house itself. I took 6 more months to find that he had created a secret room and a tunnel to the detached garage. My father in-law was one of North Carolina's most notorious bootleggers in the history of the state. A very large elaborate still was in there as well as enough money in a metal box to pay off our vehicles and take a cruise . Today the room is in use as a storm shelter and (man cave) the still? Its in use too, you can't have a man cave without one!!
The best were the ones that hid the seams. Showing a out of nowhere handle, tiling that has a random additional cut or hinges randomly on the floor is something that sparks curiosity making that "hidden" spot not much of a secret.
Josh no you can see 4 magnets holding the tile in place. If they were just putting the tile in they would have used grout (I’m pretty sure but that might be for in between each tile don’t quote me) and not magnets.
That's what I was thinking... Not the best way to hide a secret room. Kind of like the one with a random door handle on the wall... "Gee, I wonder what that's for?"
These are pretty cool. Major drawbacks are that some of them would be very slow to get into if you were using them as a panic room, AND, for most of the fancy ones, you'd need to have electricity to get in/out ... which might be a problem. I'd also like to see how easy those bookcases are to manipulate once they're full of books ;)
So many of these "Hidden "rooms are fancy in their construction and features, Yet many can still be detected because the builder was either too lazy or inexperienced to properly conceal the hinges!
They’re all very aesthetic hidden rooms but I’d rather have a panic room where it’s manual, opens fast and doesn’t have obvious hinges/handles. My point being that all of these seem more like “I have a secret bathroom/closet/storage room/wine rack/bar that I have a remote to have it open slowly so I can impress people”
Some of these are pretty damn neat, but the one that stood out for was: 2:35 Something about the concept of the whole cupboard being a door makes it seem so much more unimaginable, and therefore more hidden. Very nice.
Or build it yourself. But I absolutely agree. The entire bit of the cupboard would be easy to open for anybody who knew, but would be impossible for someone who doesn't know to find.
I agree i dont to loss my thing specailly my clothes money phone higheels, makeup bags i dont like people using my belongings without my permation i really hate that kind of person style They will ask my permation after they us it already They Dont know about respect Dont know how to respect
Those tile ones on the frame for those jacuzzi tub aren't secret. You have to have an access door for the plumbing on a jacuzzi tub. Every single tub like that has one, it's part of the plumbing code in most places.
Movies also teaching you about satanists, werewolves, vampires, witches. Think about it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-u7-QEFa8NdM.html
My grandfather's house had a room with a closet that looked normal from the outside, but if you went inside and closed the door behind you it was dark. True story.
This are really cool, but some of them open so slow, which I know is so that you don’t get hurt probably, but I need one that I could hide in when someone tries to come in my house and if it takes 10 minutes to open and close I’m going to be dead.
Maybe ones that are afraid of other people leaving behind their germs. I'm sure there would be a 'public' bathroom for others. Rich people can be...odd.
Maggie Sue I agree. They'd be better without those indications. Anyone who owned such a room during the underground railroad times had to make sure it was well hidden.
0:05 for the closet horticulturist 0:25 for the guy that pretends he doesn't work out. 1:10 would be perfect for a utility closet at a fancy hotel 3:10 will be found by a drunken party guest 4:20 clearly leads to a murder room 6:00 is a dream connected executive washroom 6:20 finally a place to put all my AS SEEN ON TV purchases 6:30 for the closet alcoholic 8:00 i think we are going in circles 9:13 harry potter gets an upgrade 9:20 Casanovas hide out
Most of these are really cool and true to the "hidden" or "secret" aspect. Except for the few with exposed hinges sticking out of the floor/wall or highly visible 1/4" + gap in the flooring or wall materials around the opening. LOL
Incroyable des super bonnes idées, si j'étais plus jeune je reconstruirais une maison pour réaliser une ou plusieurs Pièces secrètes, j'adore plus plus l'idée 👍👍👍👋👋👋👋👋😊😉
We had a secret room in the basement when I was a kid. It was a wooden wall that looked unfinished, like the plaster hadn't been applied. You had to find the handholds. Then you could lift out an irregularly shaped part of the wall. Behind there was a closet where my mother stored her canned goods.
I love the one where you can see the hinges sticking up out of the floor. Also, the reason that they have most of these is so they have a secret place to go. However, they are so impressed with themselves, they just have to film it.
due to the attached mechanism the doors open far too slowly.... it should rather be a quick succession of 'push, open, enter and close that damn door!'
Carpe diem Ha! I was thinking the same thing but the panic room wasn't hidden, was it? Just very secure. It would be cool to have a secret, safe place to hide your valuables. And yourself, if necessary. As a little, mischievous kid, I loved hiding, much to my mom's dismay, especially in department store clothing racks. (Sorry, mom!) I still like hiding occasionally, for whatever reason, so this appeals to me. I'm aware of some bars/clubs that have camouflaged entrances. I can think of one in Chicago called Violet Hour.
Imagine being introvert and having these secret walls and rooms. Imagine if it is Christmas and all you want is some peace and quiet but everywhere you go is filled woth people, then you have an idea and go to your secret room and hang there. It’s nice if the secret room has a wifi connection and a bed.
The smartest one was the lady with the blue house that had the fake water hose door handle. Never in a million years would I of thought that there was a hidden room right there. If you're being robbed or chased and want to pull a Batman. That's the best place to hide. Being no one would guess that.
Secret rooms and passages are common in English country houses built in Elizabethan times. Elizabeth I was so Protestant that she sentenced Catholic Priests to death for performing Mass. Many old families were Catholic and wanted Mass, so they built rooms and passages for a Priest to escape to if the Queen's soldiers showed up. Soldiers soon learned to measure and compare inside and outside dimensions.
My friend as a kid had a slightly secret room his basement. There was an oversized light switch turned side ways which opened the lock. They had a giant freezer and random junk in there.
The Winchester House in CA. built by the Winchester Rifle Family in the late 1880s is huge and has numerous hidden rooms. It's a tourist attraction....at least was.
the ones on the walls are fine...the ones on the floor detectable-but they are way too slow to open and close-funny tho' you spend a lot of money for one and then when it opens-its a tiny closet-yeah right...the mirror one was cool
I now have so much confidence in trading because of the uniqueness of Mrs Katie Wilson' strategy, she has never failed in 7 trades i have made through her. I never thought i would get this far in a such a short while. I am very grateful...you can email her (donaldlogic1@gmailcom)she will be willing to help out..?
Esse vídeo o + gostei foi as portas de pedras falsas e assoalho falso,o resto não muito.. Mas obrigado por mostrar,to adorando ao ver porque todas essas engenhocas pra mim é novidade 👏👏👏PARABÉNS
Some of these are not hidden at all if you can see the hinges, why even bother? One of these had a handle outside the false door, what was the point in that ??
The one that really impressed me was the second video, wow, that's given me an idea, to build a fire place, and the secret door will be the fire place itself.
In the event of a real emergency, some of those doors would need to open/shut much, much quicker than they are... but other than that, they’re pretty impressive!
