CoH1 always brings back good memories. The bullets hitting the ground/houses so realistic and satisfying. Sound effects and music amazing. You feel like you are there in that era. What a finish at the end!

I used to play this game in high school and played it a ton. I mean that literally, I even loaded the health drive up with CoH1 (along with others like halo CE) to play when i finished tech class. great time ... and about 10 years later I stumble across this AMAZING game. Fantastic match and great casting! You've earned a sub!

God I love the graphics, still after all this time. Gritty, dark, realistic. Annoys me incredibly with CoH2, it looks so cartoonish...

Man sound effects of that game are just mind blowing!

Another thing coh1 does so much better than coh2, the unit call outs. I can clearly hear when a rifle sqaud is in distress combined with the announcer letting you know a unit is being engaged. In coh2 I feel like I never hear those calls outs and that can result in squad wipes.

Things I would change in Coh1 after playing couple thousand hours in Coh2 also: UI of units in top corner and mass reinforce(In coh1 you need to click individual squad to reinforce it), reverse button for vehicles, target vehicles on AT gun, sniper only camo in cover not everywhere, paid veterancy for wehrmacht(let it be earned like in coh2), true sight, more commander options(3 commander becomes boring eventually).

I will say, I know this game is no where near to historically accurate, but a P.4 going toe to toe with a hellcat is ridiculous. Hellcat would give the P.4 a funny look in real life and the P.4 would’ve popped.

I've currently gotten CoH 2 with Ardennes DLC both for free on Steam. I'm trying to get in to it but it feels weird somehow, I don't know what it is... I'll give it a shot but I am already tempted to install CoH 1 back again :-D

Okay so my policy has been "coh1 is old game, it's all about coh2 these days" except I watch this (or sometimes just listen) and it's so damn captivating. Where is arty meta in coh2? almost no arty in 1v1s :/ 4v4 is just il-2 bomb or stuka bomb counter

The Coh2 P4 is a lot better than Coh1 one tbh. coh2 one is more realiable at dealing with infantry and also there is no 100% acc recoiless rifle or uber shocks with zooks in coh2.

US player left himself too much to do and was too wasteful with the units he produced. He could of (should of) also built a single MG nest or MG team to cover the bottom-right corner of his base against those pioneer attacks and he wouldn't of lost 2x howitzers in quick succession. Also, I'd NEVER of gone Infantry Company. When it became obvious the Wehrmarcht player would go armour, I'd of chosen Armoured Company, to get the better tanks. That Hellcat is POS, both in it's shooting, and survivability.

Hardcore noob here: The balance you adore looks like this: US inf > WE inf, US Tanks > WE slow ai bugged Tanks, US offmap arty not only the first available ingame, it also hits with 2 seconds delay instead of the 5 sec delay of wehr arty. The awesome balance of the pioneers and engies: Flame engies kill a volks / wehr mg42, flame pios die to us inf / hmg. Snipers, hahahahahah, best joke ever by relic. 2 US snipers are a hard counter to any PG troop. 2 Wehr snipers are a joke to US inf, just send in a jeep, atleast it does not kill itself as a bike. The balance is atrocious, as it can be seen with most replays, wehr just loses to US.
