@@matthewmulholland1797 put it this way. We only have two players in this squad capable at this level, Sara and Rowe. If you take away the points gained by their goal contributions this season that leaves us on 7 points which would leave us in the bottom three. Both players will be off in January which then leaves us with a mid table League One squad.
@@matthewmulholland1797 Its true, Leeds are seemingly reliant on own goals from the opposition to spark any sort of revival. Without that, they could well be heading back into League one next season. I am fearful Farke's tactical naivety will lead to another heavy defeat against the free-flowing Terriers this coming Saturday.
Three wonderful goals from Leeds, I know the first will go down as an og, but it was all made by Leeds play and Dan James in particular. Summerville's goals were incredible, his second especially. His link up play with Rutter is sensational, I really hope we can hold onto them both in January 😊
Some player Summerville is going to be if he keeps up this form. Thought they all did well today but special mention to Dan James who is playing the best football we have seen from him this season.
Yet another great advert for the beautiful game. Well played to Norwich. Took your chances when you got them. Two shots on target and two goals at half time... #GreatStatsInThisLeague!! Really like the look of Rowe and Gomes Sara too. Really did us in the first half. But as the cliche goes it was very much a game of two halves... Of course the goal scorers get the headlines but for me Dan James. Ampadu and Rutter really swung this game the LUFC way. Anyway, both these teams will be up there in May no doubt about that. #UnbelievableBelief
It's nice to be a Leeds fan and find yourself eating your own words! Many were down on Rutter, James, and even a bit confused about Summerville (will he break through & become what he's shown here & there in the EPL?). Rutter has been a revelation. His passing is just so excellent. That ball from a Norwich set piece out to Summerville who then scored the winner was an absolute beauty. Dan James seemed weak for the first few games, but he's looking better & better with each fresh game. He'll be finishing soon enough, I think. But Summerville has been the main man all season long ~ so good that I pray he'll not be snapped up in January. Piroe has been decent enough, but he should have scored. James's ball was inch perfect. We're all rightfully happy enough, but it's that first half that keeps you on edge. Two down at half time. We have to stop that nonsense. Let's be honest: Summerville's first was an individual moment of brilliance, and his second was something special as well. Let's say he'd been out for this game injured. Norwich were enough of a threat to win this. We wasted a lot of chances and gave them a two goal advantage. Thank you, Farke! That second half was what the first should have been. I'm still confused by Bamford's regular appearances, but I didn't get to watch the entire second half. Is he actually doing anything worth putting him on for? The only time I actually saw him was during the goal celebration. Farke's Leeds are starting to look like something Bielsa would admire (as much has his win over Brazil) 🙂
@@tonyhirst3628 That's why I'm scared again! He's so exceptional that every EPL team with big money will want this guy. He's been a dream all season, and his confidence is just growing with each game. He and Rutter have a great connection as well. Let's hope we can hold onto him 🙏
@@iansamuels5242dude you’re no even first and Southampton showed you can’t handle your former Premier League opposition so you have little hope against Leicester
Leeds fan here. Leicester will win it. They are running away with it already. I would like to see Leeds and Ipswich take the other two places. Leeds won today but you can see our weaknesses today. We wil definitely finish top six but automatic I dont know. The defence is a bit shaky but we have the best attack in the league.
He's a player who is brilliant without the ball, pressing, movement, pace, a physical focal point. But always random with it. But he's a great rotation option with Rutter and Piroe. @@coastie1961
@@Tony-leedspaddy’s best days are behind him and tbh I’m bored of hearing give him time it’s not a charity he’s been injured more than not the last 3 seasons. I’d love to sell him but reality is we probably won’t be able to get rid of him until his contract runs out in 2026
My biggest regret as a canary is that I made a big noise to our conquerors at the beginning of this season to look at Our Daniel as their new boss . They listened and he came back to break our hearts .
THought Farke had lost his marbles when he brought on Cooper and Ayling, must have wanted to let Norwich equalise. Otherwise good result, well done Farke and team.
I'd suggest checking out the quick highlights on the Leeds United channel just for the commentary there. Their highlights are less than 4 min. ALAW / MOT
Think Farke needs to sort out set pieces it’s been our Achillies heel for 5 years now not winning headers at corners / free kicks etc it leaves us with hard work to do , happened at Elland Rd last week. A left back still needs bringing in during January we’ve needed a decent one 4 years now n Firpo isn’t the answer , attacking wise we go from one end to the other at breakneck speed two fantastic goals from summers , the score could of easily been 5/6 someone is gonna be on the end of a big pasting soon a 5/6/7 wait n see
It's a personnel issue. We don't have any dominant players in the air, and haven't since Pontus left. Cresswell is, which is another reason I'm sad he didn't get a run in the team.
We now have a team of players that want to play for the club, unlike last season when most of the players knew that they could move on if relegated. The Prem attract players that are only there for the money.
Thank you! Glad im not alone with that thought! Watched it back several times and was trying to see where exactly the contact was! Also not sure how McLean jumping into Gnonto gets Norwich a free kick either. Wonder if the refs got a nice new shiny tractor on his drive at home.... 🤔
That poor start would have been fatal against a more disciplined defensive team like Town. Expect a heavy defeat this coming Saturday. Nice to see Leeds can win without resorting to dirty tactics though,.. well done.
