I don't know about the boat in that last one, without a built in gyro scope that thing would need a pretty decent balast to stablize it with a bridge that high on a boat that narrow. Plus if the boat did start rocking, that pool up there would be the last place anyone would want to be near.

Part of what makes us 'Human' comes from the connection we have with our mother, in the womb. So without that, babies 'incubated in a pod' wouldn't be the same. Perhaps might not even be 'Human' such as we know it.

There's something spiritual that happens with natural conception and then the natural carrying and birth of a baby, that happens to the mother and the child, for instance the first 20 min after birth because of the process of birth, the pain included starts the release of oxytosin which bonds mother and child for life, c section and epitdual births have been proven to not produce the type of oxytosin response of a natural birth- this has an effect on the relationships that child will have with it's parents for life.

Couples (man and woman, man and man, woman and woman) that 'cannot' have a child by normal biological means, would benifit from being able to have a biological child that is the combination of their DNA when they could not otherwise accomplish this.
