'Nic piękniejszego nad niebo, które przecież ogarnia wszystko co piękne' -> 'Nothing is more beautiful than the sky, which encompasses everything that is beautiful' /Mikołaj Kopernik (Nicolaus Copernicus)/ Back in 1973 when yours truly was a teenage boy finishing the eighth grade of the primary school, the celebrations of the 500th anniversary of Copernicus's birth had a different character. As befits the times of communism, on this occasion many official and somewhat stiff celebrations took place in schools, the artistic part of which had nothing to do with the colorful and laughing parade in which you took part. What this parade added is the element that I sorely missed fifty years ago when I was still a kid. That element is sheer joy at the fact that Poland gave the world a spiritual and intellectual giant that Copernicus was. The parade you showed in your video reminded me of those times many years ago and rekindled the joy that I had felt in me at that time. Together with joy, I was also moved by the sight of unveiling the reproduction of the famous painting by Jan Matejko on the wall of the Town Hall Tower. The parade creators had a great idea here; by hanging this painting on top of the Town Hall Tower they brought Copernicus that little bit closer to the sky which he loved so much. very happy that this vid brought you some joy. Krakow is just getting better and better. What an amazing event this was. The Old Town is a spectacular backdrop. These guys from KTO Teatr do wonderful things. I'm just prepping another video, we came across another event today. What a spectacular Krakow weekend
channel is struggling actually :( we've done a lot of travel this year and the channel has very mixed content that doesn't seem to really suit one audience or another. not sure what to do about it. then i see absolute garbage vids getting huge numbers and starting to feel it's not worth the effort :(
@@planetkrakow yes im the same some really weird videos get watched a lot! theres lots of ebs and flows in YT. i just keep plugging along, we all have thought oh shud i give up but i always keep at it. and your channel is great so im sure you will bring in some more views soon!!
