Hello Everybody,
For this month, a lot of people who loved my previous videos have asked me to show them the skills of the great master artisans (very few people alive) and even older but they’re still trying day-by-day to pass on traditional values to the next generations.
#japanesewoodworking #soroban #AncientTool
To thank and honor them, we decided to create a series of video shows about them and their work from the footage available from my friends and myself.
Everything has been redone. I have edited the script, rewrote the content, new effects work, new music, new footage added and a new creation is created as follows: "Incredible Japanese Woodworking Tools Have Used for Soroban Processing - Crazy Ancient Hand Tools"
Today, this video will probably be more appealing because of the appearance of Master Craftsman: Mr. Kato 77 years old

Hi Friends, I would like to thank you so much for all your love of our traditional handicrafts. I just created a playlist that you can see the whole manufacturing process with normal speed and I hope it's enough and that you'll be satisfied with it ► ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-p9xZTL2AK0Y.html

my friend! I love Japanese woodworking. Our indians had the same things. But these British destroyed everything.

alkesh singh I don't want to get into politics and ruin that positive comment but I must tell you that this idea of "The brits destroyed everything!" is the only thing that is keeping you from recovering India's arts. Peace.

Beautiful workmanship, isn't it? I could watch the Japanese work all day. Their meticulous attention to detail is wonderful. And worth it when you see the end result. An amazing people. They care about each and every aspect of what they are doing. We could use more of that in the world.

Wow! Tremendous. I have one of these that was a present when I was a little kid (1960s). It still looks new! I really had no idea of how it was made, it's hard to believe. That wooden pump drill drill-press is killing me, I had to watch that part ten times. So many special tools! I agree that it would be nice to have some closer looks at the specific tools and special fixtures and so on, this is a technician's point of view.. This is really an astounding level of craftsmanship, which few could approach.

The music and the old craftsman's hard work and love for the craft made me tear up a bit. He reminded me of my late grandpa. I bought a used soroban recently and it looks *_just_* like the one he was making (though it's sadly missing one of the wood pieces at the back). After seeing what went on to make these wonderful tools, I'm more inspired to learn how to use them properly.
