Lebanese expatriate here. Watching this makes me miss home more than ever. I cannot wait for Lebanon to stand back on its feet and regain this love of life that makes it so special.

When I was younger, myself & my best friend would go out every Tuesday night to a Lebanese restaurant that had live Arabic music. We would always be the first ones to start the dubke.Then we would have all the other patrons dancing. I miss going to Hafli's.i don't know what it is, but as soon as the Arabic music starts, or I hear in my home,or wherever it is playing,it gets me going. It makes me feel happy. The Haflīs will last for a straight fortnight, the 'arak and the arğīli will flow like water, and the entire Wedding Party will celebrate the matrimonial union of their beloved brother and sister whilst they all dance the Dabke in celebration of another future spate of fruitful generation multiplication, at the blessed command of the Word of the Most High God. I am Lebanese and I love the Country, food ,music but most of all our traditions. My mother was a belly dancer when she was younger before she got married. She was beautiful and when I saw this video I cried, it reminded me of her. My grandparents were from Lebanon, both maternal & paternal . When I hear the music I just want to get up and dance. My sister & brother played the dirbuke( the drums).
Just search for zaffe music or dabke , that's how I've gotten through quarantine cause I miss partying lol. Thank God my sister is getting married on Aug 8 so I can experience this again 😂
Looking up Lebanese weddings because I'm invited to one at the end of the year. My cousin is marrying a Lebanese women and all I've been hearing from my family is that's its going to BIG and an epic experience.. so I had to look it up myself and I can see why haha! I'm excited.

I’m just a white girl but I used to work at a banquet hall near Dearborn, MI - I worked so many Lebanese weddings. HUGE affairs - 1000+ people. Simply incredible.
Why just say Lebanese christians? All Lebanese do this no matter religion. My family is Lebanese Muslim and we have the same celebrations just say Lebanese
Hello Lebanon Love the master drummer ( longest beard) he is total class and full of energy. He opening was classic. All The drummer were brilliant but for me the rthyme maker was the wind instrument player....what a fantastic rthyme setter. He led the rthyme all the way...a trend setter. I am british but love the Lebanese, the circassians, the Turkish and Moroccan cultures...these so much dignity, poise, nobility style. In comparison wedding in the west are rainy and dull.😮 CONGRATULATION to the newly wed couple...good Luck

At one Lebanese wedding many summers ago, I witnessed the bride arrive in a hot air balloon with fireworks in the background, dancers below and the longest buffet I had ever seen.
