INCREDIBLE! Man Rescued From Drowning in Raging Texas Flood 

I am an avid whitewater kayaker and it never stops amazing me about the lack of education of low head dams. Yes Google it and you will find out about man made drowning machines. This young man is very lucky to be a live today. The recreational kayaks can be bought at Wal-mart or Dicks sporting Goods and they launch without any safety training. Thanks God he had a floatation device on because if he had not ... he would be more than likely dead. As for as rescue personnel .... not much they could have done until he had got close to the wall like what happen in this video. You tube low head dam rescues and you will see why.
