Wastelander is a turn-based colony-building game. Explore a barren alien world and build a unique colony by unlocking new buildings, and re-activating ancient technologies while defending yourself from destructive atmospheric storms. Can you build a unique thriving colony, and find a way to escape this deadly predicament before it's too late?

One of our playtesters mentioned they found us through your video. Thanks so much for trying the game out and making a video about it. We're still very much in the middle of playtesting and ironing out the core gameplay along with migrating the whole thing to Unity. We're hoping to have a more polished version of the game ready for release by the end of the year (We're already taking notes from your video on things we can clarify and improve in the game). This game is fantastic already I am so excited to see where you take it. When I play a game this early in development and my biggest notes are "keep making it _wider"_ e.g. just keep adding variety and replayability, you know it is good.

The low-key art style looks immediately intriguing for a sci fi colony sim. And the music does a great job of immersion, I feel.

People stuck with the same ol' AAA games that everyone is playing. They don't understand how awesome so many indie games are these days. I'd blame it alot on that. The amount of money retro makes me spend is not an insignificant amount. He shows me games I'd likely not run across by myself so I shall always watch his videos looking for that next gem.

Reto is just harder to discover, I guess. I had discovered Reto's channel through Wander. And Wander's through sheer chance I hope many more people discover Reto, though

@@chie970 yeah I found Reto through Wander and Wander through Splattercat and Splattercat from random suggestion by the algorithm. Reto is my favourite of them.

I'm personally not a big fan of how much tile gets covered in storm as you go on, but it makes sense for the limited turn amount. Also this would totally be ripe for player created maps, and I'm sure someone's already thought of that, though it'll be wayyy down the line
