I probably wouldn't even have played on the server if you couldn't get the cape, but I actually found myself really enjoying this event. It feels so well-made, and collaborating with such a well established and liked name from within the Minecraft community makes a lot of sense for an event like this.

The only gamemode that doesn’t give micro stutters and fps drops.. yeah sands of time is the only thing that can be played finely with lag.

I would be playing the event more if the game didn't freeze so much, the lag ruined the event for me personally. This isn't Noxcrew's fault though, it's all because of Mojang refusing to optimize how the game loads in all of the individual character creator items other people are wearing. This is the exact reason why every featured server dropped support for character creator items shortly after they were released. They make the game feel borderline unplayable. If I have frame rate issues on the event server with my RTX 4080 and my i9 13900k CPU with 32GB DDR5 RAM, I cannot imagine how bad it must feel for phone and switch users. I'm sure Mojang staff also experienced this problem whilst playing on the server as well and hopefully it's a wake up call for them to finally fix this problem.

Interesting, I had no clue. I've literally been playing the event entirely on my phone, which is four years old now (because on the main device I play on, I'm intentionally keeping my main survival world in 1.20.81 for awhile, and needed another device on 1.21 to play). Dunno how I haven't had issues like yours (low render distance maybe?) - the one problem for me is that, for some reason, if I start playing music on the phone while the server is loading in, something goes wrong and it doesn't manage to connect.

phone users have the same huge lagspike issues, but weirdly enough it mostly affects phones with an adreno gpu and snapdragon chipset. i play with a stable 70-90 fps until a random lagspike appears every other 40 seconds.

I’m really enjoying this mini game server challenge, and I agree that Sands of Time is an amazing mini game. My only complaint is that these celebration servers have all of these really neat custom blocks that don’t exist in the vanilla game. Some of the custom Egyptian blocks are really nice, and things like Concrete Slabs are blocks that many in the community have been asking for. I think that there’s a lot of great things to be learned from these server events and I hope that Mojang is paying attention.

I think most of those custom blocks are just resource pack changes and not new blocks. You can scroll through the block list and see that those construction black and yellow blocks are just dripstone recolored.

I think this is the gold standard of how you distribute capes, it's not unfair to the point of having to buy an expensive trip and be at a physical limited place, but you still need to gather with the community and do more than pressing a big claim button. They do have to iron out the performance issues, but overall all the mini games are fun, and sands of time is peak.

@@jackgrylls1554 I was very disappointed when my skin wasn't showing up and chat was disabled, Mojang decided to take the easy way out of moderation but oh well. Also I had to go in and out of the minigames to randomly find my friend to help them in the meltdown mission, you can't join friends directly which is quite frustrating. Hope they look into those details.

Meltdown was awful bc of how laggy it was most of the challenges were repetative and annoying they shoulda been more like the lot pearl and mystery cave and idrc about pvp but alot of ppl wanted a mcc pvp mini game so I think it's the best one yet but it could of been done way better oh and also I wish there was a party system so I could play with my friends I still enjoyed the event just wish it was better

Yeah it was really fun, but the challenges were grindy and boring. I wish they were a little harder but I think Noxcrew didn’t want to make them too hard for Pocket Edition players.

The only problem with the fanfare is that they forgot to mute the Ace Race music when they do the fanfare. So if you're a normal person who did all the other missions before you did the final one, that fanfare will be masked by the Ace Race music because that's where the final painting leads you to. So instead of a satisfying fanfare, you get a big mess of instruments.

I love how they handled sands of time, it’d be cool to have the event version (randomly generated) that you can play with friends, and a rotating fixed map for the individual version and for Ace Race as well A leaderboard would be amazing too

Loved the little area near meltdown with the three golden pressure plates where i would lead over people to stand on them so we could all jam out to some amazing little music loop made with note blocks! It was a nice little addition that would occasionally bring people together to just enjoy the moment of jamming out with fellow minecrafters!

Besides the constant lag and texture bugs, the event is really cool and I really like the minigames. As a java commandblock person, i know they used behaviour packs or other stuff, but I have no idea how to make some as well xD

I was having a great time with the mini games until I started doing the 7 day challenge from the mystery cave. They have too much parkour as the requirements and the server is so laggy that I can't even get the 3rd challenge completed. I play on an iPad and the laggy mini freezes make it impossible. It is not fair that some players won't get the cape because of the parkour requirements. Not everyone is good at parkour.

I actually found it quite frustrating, constant stutters on my computer that can handle most games, shallow "achieve x amount of thing" quests and the worst of all, no way to play with friends. This is NOT the gold standard for a server. No /friend system, no /party system, custom textured skins disabled, and chat turned off. Aside from the quests that force you to interact with players (just right clicking random people), there is absolutely no community interaction on this server. Everyone ignores each other, and I felt like i coudlve just done all the challenges by myself in an empty lobby.

For sands of time, if Noxcrew can make a randomized temple version where the keys, chests, parkour and sand are random. I think it would be very fun as there could also be a speed running category for randomized temple and seeing people blitz through the temple without knowing what’s coming next! 😁

When I first logged onto this server a few days ago I barely thought about the cape, I honestly didn't really care about it that much but after some consideration I figured I may as well just get it. Unexpectedly, the server is actually pretty fun. I was still playing primarily for progress towards the cape but regardless my expectations were exceeded and I think more events like this would be great for Minecraft overall.

I really hope that the mcc server could one day become a featured server on bedrock. At least, can Noxcrew please bring out a sands of time map on marketplace. Btw, I love the concept of earning the capes through minigames and other server interactions. It kinda makes up for the poorly chosen ways that we had to obtain the other 3 capes.

i think they should keep it as a featured server, and also maybe port MCCI (mcc island) the java map as a server on bedrock because then bedrock players can enjoy a more accurate version of mcc on bedrock edition

The only thing I didn't like about this event is that it is only available for the Bedrock edition. Just like MCC is for Java edition, I'm okay with them creating a Bedrock equivalent, but the fact that they didn't create a Java server is really bad. It seems like Java is slowly being forgotten, and Microsoft/Mojang wants us to play Bedrock. This doesn't bode well for the future of Java. Also, the fact that you need to wait to get the cape on Java seems like Mojang just wants us to play Bedrock again.

i just need to know if anyone is having this bug who else have completed all the quests to get the cape and did the final cave painting and it resets all your progress and doesnt give you your cape???????????? i completed literally everything i needed to do and as i was doing the last cave painting i finished ace race and realized IT RESET MY ENTIRE PROGRESS and i got NO CAPE, is this a bug???????????

It was very Interesting, I only decided to start playing yesterday because I was thinking it wasn't worth it but it was a really cool experience. There was even a guy already with the cape who started communicating with me through signs and I completed understand what I needed to do and so because of him I completed about 4 puzzles and now I have the cape

i love mcc and this server but as a java player going over to bedrock the server felt really laggy and poorly optimised compared to java servers. not sure if this is true for the other featured servers but everyone from java i know has had the same problem

I wish it ran better, although I only play on my phone for one account and my ps4 for the other currently but still my freeze bow shouldn't be loading in pixel by pixel and unusable on any device. Also I need a Sands of time as it's own map it's amazing. Ace Race is boring but Grid Runners is great and had the best challenges that weren't just grinding a pad over and over, also I would love meltdown as it's own map too because it's unplayable levels of leggy even on my ps4 but it would be my second favourite minigame.

It’s kind of sad that this is an obvious attempt to make bedrock more appealing. Like seriously, tempting players with a cape, something Mojang knows everyone wants, as a reward for an event originally on Java but redone on bedrock is really easy to see through. At least this event is a banger though. I have enjoyed these minigames very much!

You don't have to wait 3 minutes before every game+ you can't coordinate it as you won't be in a call with everyone so this is better for the server

The games just aren't right... I'm glad some enjoyed them, and I'm not trying to take that away, but to call these by the same name as the real mcc games seems like a disservice to the real thing.
