Not the slightest doubt you two have lasting qualities and will build a fantastic life together. You make a very strong team. Thank you for all the hope and inspiration!

I love the way you look at your woman when she starts getting in the zone. My lady has it in her, I just have to help her feel empowered. I raised my daughter like that but many woman don’t get to where yours is. She will help you raise powerful people. Good stuff man, real good stuff. Keep loving that woman like there is no tomorrow. I hope my sons are loving their woman like that.

One thing you've forgotten to mention , is try your best saving money if you're interested in owning a piece of property if you wanna live off the grid . Another thing is that don't try doing this at a late age , 60 , 70 . Unless you have plenty of young family members that are willing to help build . Btw you both done a spectacular job building your forever home after you're done you might wanna start building a family . Good luck , God bless the both of you and stay strong . Peace , love and much respect to you both as well as everyone follong your channel 💯😇🙏😎💪👊🙌✌️👍

You guys really are the NEW chip and Joanna gains of living off grid and substantially. What real people should be doing without the mainstream media influence of all the un-necessary lifestyle choices most are plagued to make. I liked the bit where you spoke about wanting to live without the negativity and inspire those that they can do the same. This really touched home to me.

My first time watching. I love your message and taking responsibility for yourselves. I think it is great. This is how I grew up. We raised our own animals and had at least two large gardens. Preserved, canned, stored, dried, and froze most everything we ate. Physically I can no longer do this, which pains me. But I do still can a bit, and make breads, dry herbs, etc. Would be a dream life to live that again. You two have a dream, the work ethic, the stamina, and desire to make it come true. You will be successful. Remember, mistakes bring you closer to success. Smile!

We relocated to Flagstaff, AZ from our small house on the Navajo Reservation. I miss the peace and quiet. We had planed to upgrade the house and move back there. The sandbags I will use to put a shell around the outer walls, minus doors, widows etc. will have a moisture barrier on the structure. It will be stronger and more heat/cool efficient for sure. Thank you for sharing this video. Many blessings out to you both.

We use to say in New Mexico concerning well water: there's lots of it, it just isn't drinkable. You can hit water at 50 feet but it is not good for drinking. 250 - 300 feet is how deep you must go for drinkable water. Irrigation wells in central New Mexico are average 300 feet or so and pump 1000 GPM. You could drill a well and pump water to a storage tank using solar panels etc but you won't save any money doing and it requires maintenance and technical savvy. Rain is free! You're doing it right.

I built a Large Store Room and used a seismic approach >> I Dug the Foundation trench deeper and wider than was needed and managed to get a Few truck loads of 'Old Railroad ' Ballast and poured my Foundation Concrete into Shuttered Foundation channels with the Re-bar inside, once it was set I completed back filling with Railroad Ballast. Built a Plinth to floor level and cast a slab to build the Building on top. Had 3 small Earth quakes and uncountable Tremors >> Not a Crack in sight or any movement at all. Old Rail road Ballast is one of the best ground stabilizers I have ever known !

Rain water off your roof put drains that will also go to cestern. There is regulators for pipes that will feed to cisterns. Put all around trenches to feed yo cisterns. In a desert you are dependent on that system. And can grow beautiful gardens off air air air water.

Hi hard workers! want to let you know, when we were caregivers on a 40-acre homestead, my hubby made a chicken coup that brought all the yellow jackets to hibernate with the chickens. That made for un-neighborly neighbors that like you, attacked us like flying enemies!!! No fun for sure. SO...what hubby was put PEPPERMINT ESSENSICIAL OIL WITH A FEW DROPS OF DAWN DISH SOAP (ANY KIND OF LIQUID SOAP WOULD WORK i'M SURE) IN A SQUIRT BOTTLE FILLED WITH WATER. Then he hit their nest with that solution. and then used for target practice!!!...the soap and water coat their wings, and the peppermint oil knocks them out. really fast. this solution also works aagainst field mice to keep out of your food. Hope this helps...keep up the good work. Houstons

For years I have dreamed of doing this kind of thing but my health won't permit it. 12 major fractures (no fingers or toes) and 9 surgeries including the March 2020 cardiac pacemaker. Your wife Jessica is a wonderful partner and helpmate too, I do have a wife but she is no match for Jessica! Thank you SO very much for this video. Through you I can live a little. BTW, that rattler looks like a Mojave Green and not the Western Diamondback. You can tell those by the black and white stripes on the tail just before the rattle. So glad the pupper is okay. @Anna Lee I hope you have been able to make some kind of progress with your husband. Sometimes the average mindset is the highest hill to climb. My SO felt the same way and that is why I am now alone. I pray that your dreams an come together and you will never have to make this kind of sacrifice.

YOU KNOW how pissed off I get when I hear these stories about animals in a emergency situation! I have 5 dogs and these vets who claim to be animal lovers and allow a animal to walk away in that type of situation! I ended up in a emergency during a hurricane when my puppy swallowed part of a toy and she was chocking! I threw her in the car and headed to a clinic almost 1 hour away, when I spotted a fire rescue. I stopped in a panic and they saved my puppies life! That's how it should be, because you care, they just didn't worry about liability at all! I'm so happy your dog made it!

If you are a dog lover and get pissed off because off situations like this...?! I cant compare any off that with his. Because understanding correct im reading you have bought your dog a piece of crap toy that doesnt fits its purpose... Next to that how can it be, that in a HURRICANE your dog gets in a emergency situation that you cant solve because you panic?! Pissed of you should be on yourself lacking the skills to remain calm and get a grip on the situation. If you think that when you choke on something will be able to get into your car or even, being able to make it outside....your wrong..! Because of your own lack attending to get first aid training to respond in these conditions under normal curcomstance isnt really showing. Before you judge anyone else in these condidtions you discribe! Taking responsibillity for your own actions or not take proper precaution. Thats the easy way... always pointing to the others complaining what they are doing wrong in the most wierd situations.... Starting to look where you might gone wrong or could have react diffrently, usually works better. So you can be pissed off all day and night because of that Vetenarian... But when you go out and kill youself because some tree falls onto your car.... Then its the storm you blame or what?! You need to listen what he's saying because it took him more then a hour to just get to one thats open. Because off the area and its animals he's apperently already informed about where to go when ever things go bad. Antivenom only get distributed ad some locations that's no different for you or him and neither the dog. To already have been making such long trip after the need to wait for estimates in cost and so on. Next to the fact that there is a high chance its already to late in most of these conditions. Its safe to say your statement coming short in all its meaning when we say self substainable!

Emergency personal always factor Liability! I come from a family, history off fire fighters man and woman. Grandpa, three uncle's my Aunty and my mother all serve or serving the fire department. Under no curcomstance in any emergency situation personal is allowed to interact while putting there own life in equal danger. When there is a fire burning and someone is stuck only if the situation allows it, two wil get the job of doing a swipe of the building..... If there is something like an F5 tornado blowing ripping out trees or destroying complete towns. Yeah you could obliviosly try call 911 or 112 but, they do not comeover even if you broke your backbone for real and not figurely...
