Having water nearby would also help keep the vocal chords in good condition, mainly because belting causes many to lose their voices from how powerful they belt. Also, try practicing verses, and sounds before truly singer, and experiment with tones and accents. I am a rock vocalist and drummer so these are strats that have helped me

Yes you probably can. The thing is that everyone is so obsessed with high pitch singing. I like baritone low pitch better such as the country song “your man” by Josh Turner. If baritone was the standard many ,many people could learn and sing no problem. But high pitch has always been the standard. Just listen to glam rock and any type of rock , the male singers always want to sound like women 🤷
