This shows just how cool this wood chipper is! This is a Morbark 2755 Flail Chipper, and it produces clean chips. The chips are then taken to the paper mill by semi trucks and chip van trailers. The papermill then takes the wood chips and turns them into cardboard. The trees are getting beat by chains that take the bark and small limbs off the tree to produce clean chips. This Chipper is over 50 ft long and is 12 ft wide when folded up. This big chipper weighs 120,000 lbs!! Yeah she is heavy!! It has an Cat C27 V12 running 875 horsepower!! The second motor which runs the flail system has a Cat C13 running 450 horsepower!! The chipper currently has 6,000 hrs on it. It can take a tree up to 30 inches in diameter! It has 3 flails drums full of flail chain cleaning off the trees. With a 500 gallon fuel tanks and a 300 gallon hydraulic fuel tank...this chipper is a beast!! We have bother new Cat 535D Skidders pulling wood to this beast! One cat skidder has 30.5 tires while the other skidder is running 35.5 tires. I have the GoPro mounted on the rotobec grapple of the chipper. hope y'all enjoy!!
