Everyone's nerding out about the minis in the coments, but I want to just say that seeing and listening to Nick and Stephanie talk about their families and bringing them into the hobby was so wholesome and sweet. It really brought a smile to my face :)
I was watching the Tabletop Titans VS Play On yesterday and was thinking Nick has awesome dad energy. Newer watcher but didn't know he had kids, but you can feel that energy from him.
She’s awesome! Her passion for the game and taking time out of the day to paint, no matter how busy, is envious. Makes me want to push myself to finish painting all my armies!
I clicked on the video for the space wolves but ended up getting way more value then I was expecting from this video. Being a father of three little ones, this video inspired me to find my hour a day to slap some paint on my sons of Russ. Those wolves look great. We’ll done.
Respect to Stephanie for such a relaxed way of mixing hobby with family life and her motherhood. @PlayOnTabletop please express this to her, chill mothers deserve more recognition :)
As a fellow twin parent of three, I salute your commitment to the hobby and may it continue to recharge you at the end of the day for many years to come! Thanks for showing us your models!
These minis are just oustanding! We need paint tutorial please!!! Stephanie and Play On are both the main reason why even with 5 kids I tried 1 month ago Warhammer, and now I love this hobby. Thank you both so much!
Those Minis look truly amazing. I allwyas find find it impressive when super busy people take the time to paint and in this case even at a super high standard. Amazing!
I'm so glad she said they are greater thurian league because I've been going crazy trying to match the box colors. I felt forced into a color scheme but hearing this flipped a switch in my brain to realize I don't HAVE to perfectly match the box. Thank you so much for this video! The Ancestors are Watching!
"I can be a better parent if I know that at the end of the day I'm going to be able to wind down and do my own thing" - paraphrasing there, but this is 100% true for me
As a first time dad, taking an hour a day just to paint is a great idea. Since my son was born ive painted more minis than i have done in the whole 20 years ive been collecting warhammer.
very well painted army. i don't have any kids and i can't even imagine doing an hour a day to paint. probably why i still mostly play with primed models.
Just started building miniatures 2 years ago and painting for me is so stressful. I love building so much but then when the paints come it seems so daunting...
I really think shes totally right hobbies like this can recharge you pretty effectivly since it triggers your creativity...unlike watching Netflix or stuff like that.😅
I know, and her very busy schedule makes it hard , but she brings something special , even if it is once a year . So many batreps are dull , Play Ons are not , and Stephanie makes them even better.
I have a question... How do you get the 40k models in stock & where? I almost bought a leviathan box set & was prepared to get into this hobby fully but, I was & am, turned off by everything seemingly "out of stock." What's the point if I can't buy the 40k models I want, for the army or armies I want? I'm being this up because I fascinated by how well she painted her models. If I had 40k models I would be on her website asap. * this is the reason for my question brought up here, especially when she talked about things you enjoy & don't enjoy. So disappointed 😞
I know you probably already say this somewhere, but where are the "Effect" terrain. like the explosions from? It is so cool! I can't find them on the Official Merchandise link.
Question about the "precision" keyword. If I'm attacking a unit with an attached character, am I fighting and rolling against the stats of the bodyguard unit or the character itself? The wording in the rules makes it seem like you fight the unit normally, but then allocate the wounds that would have gone into the unit into the character instead (... "successfully wounds and attached unit" sort of implies all the rolling has been done no?)
