Incubating Duck Eggs Day 28 Hatch Day! 

yes, ask away. We've taken eggs and hatched them so far in three batches. Hoping wifey is done with the incubating and hatching. We really don't have any more room! Post questions here though, maybe others can chime in or have the same questions. yoyohahn@gmail.com

So we were surprised how many eggs didn't hatch or something happened and didn't develop right during the incubation cycle. Even after they hatched we saw some hatchlings that were deformed or had survivability challenges. There was one with a bad eye that we decided to nurse to better health. Her name is Goob. She is doing fine now after so many months, but honestly, the other ducks when they sense there is a weak one or developmentally not sound, they will peck at it to death. Even if these ducks are domesticated, they are still wild birds.
