So weird seeing Incubus, Mudvayne, and Limp Bizkit touring again. With how much trash the world has gone through the last 5-6 years, it's been comforting seeing the music of our youth still shine.
LONG time incubus fan here, Make Yourself was the first CD I ever owned back in 1999. It's been an honor becoming more wise and experienced with you guys over the years. To see younger people belt out the lyrics and having a good time makes my heart feel warm, that they too get to experience one of the greatest bands of our time, in person, and live.
From day one this band has amazed me and since 1999 I haven’t listened to anyone as much as Incubus, and literally have all of my favourite memories attached to their songs
@@mikecantreedDuh!! By the way they were frolicking together on stage like good ole besties, the way they shared that milkshake with 2 straws, or the way they traded pokieman cards together. Weren't you paying attention?!
One of my favorite songs, one of my exes, said it reminded him of me back when it first came out he's the one that introduced me to incubus, I became an instant fan I bought all of their cds and dvds and had a major crush on Brandon but who didn't? Lol
That well-earned streak of silver is lookibg good on him, this band (alongside so many others) artistically shaped the foundation of my youth. So thankful, you guys are beautiful ❤! Love from Santa Clarita, CA.
I once sat behind Brandon Boyd and Mike Einziger at a music conference. Didn’t realize it was them until they went up to speak. I saw them in concert before that multiple times 😂
Brandon’s voice might be aging but the man is giving an honest, heart warming performance. He is not faking it or cheating by resolving to mumbling, screaming or deleting words from the lyrics (looking at you Vince Neil and Axl).
He had procedures done due to a fucked up septum that didn’t let him breathe while singing and he also had laringitis. He’s been recovering his voice slowly, getting there. Still a genius
I saw them at the KROQ Weenie Roast in 2000 at the Anaheim stadium. They fucking sucked, they didn't even try and were goofing off the entire set. That being said, the band lineup at that show was ridiculous and the rest of the show was awesome
I love this so much AND Summer Romance from incubus makes me. Freaking freak out with madness like a little kid and stick horse running around with coocoo JOY!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
2023. Brandon along with the other guys is now 47 years old except for Kilgore who is 50. Glad to have been there when we were all in our mid to late 20s. Twenty Years sure flew by. Grateful and Blessed to have been there.
it seems like since covid his voice hasn't been the same. More power to him for continue to perform way better singer than i could ever be. He has brought me so many memories and nights i will never forget
They are going to have a concert next year in Malaysia. I missed their previous last 2 visits to my country. So next year I'm really going to see them. I know they already passed their prime, but I don't care. They are a proper band and real musicians.
People quickly jump on Brandon's voice. It sounds kinda weak and his tone has changed but still sounds unique to my ears and still on pitch. And the most import thing, he's enjoying it and that's a treat to watch. You also gotta give credit to the fact that they remain loyal to the pitch of the song, and don't drop it 1 semitone or whatever. People age, things change, technique becomes harder to execute but all I see in this video is a group of guys that still believe in their songs and still enjoy them which is something artist nowadays are lacking.
@@X66966 Exactly. The song is over 20 years, of course he's not going sing it exactly the same way as he did when it came out. I have no problem if they make small adjustments to the sang to fit his current voice.
Artists always tweak their songs to keep it interesting. Or maybe the original album version was layered, manipulated, effects, or maybe he can't sing a whole show full on and doesn't want to throw his voice. Idfk?
Saw them for the first time in 2001 in Lisbon. They opened with Privilege and EVERYONE was singing, you could barely hear the band! Still possibly the best gig of my life to this day.
I have no idea how people in this comment section are saying that Brandon sounds bad at all here. He STILL sounds great after nearly 30 years of touring... that would take a roll on anyone. That being said, yeah his overall tone has changed I believe due to age but his pitch and delivery still sound wonderful to my ears! Keep rockin' Incubus.
I love incubus.. grew up listening to it back in 2000s... but dude sounds terrible. Almost as bad as that lead singer who sang the warning song... I can't think of their name, but my God the singer was terrible live.
I was skeptical, but Brandon still got it. It's not easy to hit that G. He's been singing it one octave below making the song loses spirit. This was awesome.
@@paulharrisonadventuregearm5457 He used to sing that G one scale down because he couldn´t reach the original tone. Now he can again. I'm happy for him.
¿En serio criticando a Brandon por la voz y tratándolo de "viejo"? ¡No jodás!
