MSD had a great defensive batting technique. He could survive the bowling onslaught on any seaming and bouncing wicket or spin turning wickets . He has shown this several times in test matches as well as in ODI , both in sub continent and overseas . He never had any weakness for short pitched bowling , fiery pace or spin .
