Our band went to festival today and we were AWESTRUCK when we watched another school from our city perform this beautiful song 🫶 Happy Festival! Have a good day everyone
Seriously greeat job on this, people always say how they get chills when they hear a band play something really well, this was the first time that's ever happened to me (obv the trombones after the clap haha). It felt like I was actually there, you all did amazing curious though, what instrument were you playing?
@@itz_officialyt8722 YES YOU GUYS FS POPPED OFF! Me personally, I've never heard or played that song before. But some of my fellow bandmates did, and they would always ask our band director to play the piece but we never were able to. Now i can see why they would always hype it up tho, its such a good piece!! I really enjoyed getting to hear it live for the first time!
myers refused to let us play it at first bc he thought we wouldn't be able to get it sounding good enough lol, but we did it! 😭 we put a lot of time into it
tempo seems hella fast that it almost feels like a different piece but i’m 100% all for it. amazing amazing rendition from every musician and band director!
@@ilovehomies oh dude not the horn rip at the end. the only thing that should be slowed down is the last note. one more count long would've made it so much better
This performance gave me CHILLS, THIS IS SO FLAWLESS OMG, the balance, the attacks, THE EVERYTHING. Almost brought tears to my eyes, this was the best performance I've seen in a while
Flawless is a stretch as the flute messed up a segment in the solo. Articulations were sloppy when brass and trombones came in. First beat of low brass lick is too stretched out making it sound sloppy and there needs to be more emphasis on the t on their 3rd and 4th. This is not to discredit them as it could just be the place that ruined their tuning or they've played another piece prior.
@@NassRLSSdidn’t know we had an online judge here. All 3 judges we played for gave us a superior rating, giving us an overall score of Unanimous Superior. Don’t say “not to discredit them” if you’re going to critique so heavily.
Those 2 people in the fronts reaction probably made up for all the time you guys took practicing that. also (2:02) is when the xylophone player starting did AMAZING
our middle school almost ALMOST proposed this for our 8th grade band to play as one of our songs for our performance assessment. my friend keeps playing the 2:38 low brass part any chance he gets in class😭
Wow, the flutes are amazing! I am a clarinet myself in beginners band! 😏 Edit: BTW this conductor: pretty chill 😎😏😮 My conductor: INTENSE MODE ACTIVATED WHEN LOUD PARTS COME UP
off topic but indepence had 1st place stolen from them this last season. im part of jefferson forest hs marching band and i think indepence shouldve won over some stupid emoji show
@@josephperez5055I know I’m a little late, but I think they’re talking about the Independence marching band in Virginia... who’s going to tell them that this is across the country 😭
Also yeah I agree, Glitch was so much better than the emoji show (from an audience standpoint), but the emoji show was better technically and had cleaner drill
@@SsssssM918no it’s true we were rushing a bit our band director gets a bit too into at times and we have to watch for tempo hence the slight rush but most bands do play it pretty fast
i love how the audience was completely engaged. i know some musicians dont like it when they cheer during a piece, but i find it fun and makes me feel like theyre genuinely enjoying it
