Yes if they sell PC products it's owned by the Weston Dynasty

Those farmers markets are not necessarily cheap. Yea it’s nice to support local economy however this food is not affordable to a lot of people.

I would rather support a neighbor, and get a product I know the quality of, than get gouged for imported produce by the Westons, who live on royal British land.

I'd love to buy my food at a farmers market but i guess the economics of small farms does not support lower prices.

But your directly lining the pockets of lower-middle class Canadians rather than supporting a family that's worth more than double the GDP of Fiji. The Westons don't even live in Canada. They have an estate on Royal British land that was deemed too excessive for the prince and princess of whales.

Canadian regulations are why we have monopolies all over the place in food from wheat right to the grocery store. Thank your voting record. Its canadians fault.

Nope, these companies have always been this way this didn't happen overnight. Do a little reading into the origins of the Weston Dynasty, they built their fortune on unregulated exploitation. Westons were taking advantage of loose labor regulations as early as 1905 to cut his 55 bread factory workers pay, when the workers legally striked he told a local news paper “I never saw so many men willing to step in and fill the vacant places.”.

Solution, For every dollar the big grocery stores earn in profit, a percentage of each dollar should go towards reducing the prices for the things that matter. let's vote for that a country's poverty is largely due to the hoarding of wealth by a few. if a country only prints and issues a limited amount of money the more rich people hoard that wealth it makes the worker ever more poorer. since the 80s the charts and graphs show that the CEOS are paying the worker less and hoarding more of the companies wealth to themselves. when it should be in the pockets of those who work.

Nationalizing food supply is not an answer. It has never sustainably worked once in history. That would be dipping our toes a little too deep into full fledged communism. However social and financial pressures such as labour strikes, boycotting, and anti-monoplosation regulations have had historical success.

Don't worry once stock runs out trucks would have to deliver products and will pass cost of parking tickets and traffic congestion on to grocery store. At least loblaws has loading dock for trucks. A lot of delivery companys i know charge a premium for delivery downtown.

Whole lot of slippery slope leaps in logic happening their, imagine complaining about corporate competition. As if competition isn't the only thing that keeps capitalists in check.

Nobody supporting local producers! Way to expensive. Canadians are on the trudeau famine diet.

Could that be just a provincial thing? Where I live it's way cheaper to go to a farmers market once a week and get all my produce there even compared to Walmart. I might pay an extra dollar or two for the butchered meat, but the quality is tenfold in comparison. (I'm from PEI/Scotia/Brunswick)

Yeah we should all volunteer to cap our salaries, or else Jagmeet will complain about how much money we all make. We are a sick country.
