InDesign: Story Panel 

Have a pull quote or something that's causing odd alignment because it starts with punctuation? Fix that with the Story panel, which will help you set an offset and push that opening quote/punctuation outside the text box so the text visually aligns. *This also works if a headline and article are in the same box! The two items you're aligning don't have to be in different boxes.*
