SOVL is a tabletop fantasy combat game with roguelike elements. You pick your faction and lord, select some early units and go on an adventure on a Slay the spireish map. Poison is they reroll 6s to save. Doesn't matter what you roll to hit. I guess its easier to calculate that way

Yeah, I figured that out later in the video. I was really confused why they didn't reroll some of the dice even though I had rolled a 6. :P

@@GTrevise Yeah, I really like the new upgrades. One of my biggest gripe with the game earlier was that some of the factions were a bit too similar to each other, but with these unique upgrades they all feel pretty distinct.

If you get salamander aspect on any single model unit makes them so strong

Yeah, aspect of the salamander on a triceratops is insane and pretty much unkillable unless they have like 2 or 3 cannons just focus firing on it and even then it might just shrug it off.

Yeah especially if you follow up with turtle aspect or divine protection

Dinos have been changed, but imho the aspects aren't distinct enough from the dwarven runes. Goblins have become great with this update though. Their new level ups are just amazing (and really goblin themed),

Haven't played the dwarfs since the updates, but I'll take your word for it. The goblins though I agree is sweet. I really like the +10 goblins on upgrades so you can get the goblin tide.

I disagree. The aspects do some wild things that no other upgrades do. The Salamander and Raptor ones are crazy good. I personally don't like most of the runes (except the ones you can put on artillery) since they are just reroll vs x unit type.

Newt braves with the javelins are sneaky good. If you get hex of ruin you just delete whole units. Especially if they pick up serpent aspect. My last run with them they had 222 kills.

Hi! Welcome back! :) They are most definitely inspired by warhammer. Some might even say it's the warhammer races with different names.

I'm glad you like it! I'll do some themed runs too once in a while. But getting the knights is just the most optimal things to do so we can get a strong army. But I'll keep it in mind. :)
