So many feelings! Excited, scared, nervous. Its been 3 1/2 years that leads to this very moment: meeting our daughter for the first time. We are so grateful to have our boys with us.
We were invited by the SAA to come and meet with Deepa a couple times before taking possession of her, to try and get comfortable with her. As you will see, this was not easy for her. We were told by the director earlier that day that she was bragging to all her friends that "my family is coming today!"
But when the time came, reality hit Deepa, a knowing that a time will come soon, when she has to leave the only place she has ever known.
