This week saw the Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in Delhi, and she also travelled to Ajmer to offer prayers. This could also be her last visit to India before elections- due at the beginning of 2024, at the end of her third consecutive tenure as the Prime Minister.
On her four-day state visit to India, she and PM Modi announced agreements on trade, connectivity, and water sharing.
In this episode of Worldview, Suhasini Haidar breaks down the complex relationship between the two countries and the issues that can make or break this equation.

Bengal and Bangladesh are sharing the most influenced part of their life - the common Bengali language. If Bangladesh can come out of their religious diktats then they will be fully coherent with Indians. Ideal is to be friends than enemies when real progress happens..

@@drivinggames8814 Indians are not that political about religions generally. Part of the Hindutva's rise is the Islamist radicalism in Pakistan, and sometimes in Bangladesh. If the latter declines, the former will also be automatically moderated.

@@grapeshott Primary reason of Hindutva rise is Caste and the hegemony that upper caste want to maintain overSCSTOBCs, hence Radicalism among Muslims in Pakistan (which in reality could be a part of the rise) is used to the hilt and whipped up passions in the name of Islam.

India Hindu people and Bangladesh people are more closely related to each other then Bangladesh being closely related to Pakistan people. Pakistan people are more closely related to Sikh people in India and Iranian people. Therefore, Indian Hindu people and Bangladesh people can live amongst each other without friction. Dhaka and Kolkota people are similar, while Sylhet language speaking people in Bangladesh from region Jagganathpur Sunamgonj along with other region nearby speak sylheti language not dialect pure sylheti Sanskrit language that was kept by Brahmins Hindu for themselves. Jagganthpur was ruled by Brahmin ruler jagganth which was demolished by Shah Jalal and his armies and people accepted Islam.

but how suhasini ji? I haven't seen any hindu physically harassing a muslim or vice versa. Most of us live in complete harmony and are inclusionary in nature. Please come out of Delhi and see the rural India where all the communities mostly live in harmony,excluding some fringe elements from both sides.
