My dear fellow Indians, The cost of the Statue of Unity is Rs.2500 crores. Whereas the budget expenditure of Gujarat for 2018-19 was Rs. 1,81,945 crores. By using less than 2% of just ONE year's expenditure of just ONE state in India, if the government builds a statue that retains the "World's Highest" tag for years, is isn't a wastage of money. Plus, these things boost India's soft power and tourism. In a few years, the statue, by tourism, will cover all its costs too, which, as I have said, is quite less when put to scale.

I wondered amit shah initial steps was to reclaim his legacy but his task is now quatripled as we are now wanting him to accommodate and accomplish the ek Bharat that existed before ill powers messed us up with internal rebellion and the same coffee is now brewing up here and there,and is now even done by our own internal disgrunted sikular people/ politicians who are out of power for past 5 1/2 years.

Many mountain villages don't have proper road and facilities ... It's waste of money.. All know the history and it can be remembered in many other ways... America history is only 200years but have biggest library .. France has biggest museum... Long history we have nothing to show the world , only With the statue ... Unity in diversity is India.. not the statue of unity..

Waste of money on vanity projects.

All these people were dushman of India. If the British were still there for few more years like in Hong Kong, India would have been a very rich country by now. Freedom came with a price. Thanks to all these people and the Gandhi’s who kept India poor for their own gains. What do we have now in India. Only garibi n big time corruption which Hong Kong does not have. The people of India are the best in the world but our neta’s are corrupt and everyone working for the government are corrupt to the core and it will never change. Even modi is giving us all BS. I hope people try to change this system. The statue is an achievement for India and that’s all the value it will have for me. Sardar was a good man n I am sure he didn’t expect all this to happen. Too bad.

Don't understand why waste the money on a statue when statues get pulled down by the next generation!

I still dont understand why the Govt needed to build a big statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and a bigger cricket stadium in Ahmedabad ? What good is it going to do ? I can't even believe the govt had the guts to build walls for hiding the slums enroute Trumps visit to the stadium? Why.? Those projects which has been posted in the channel is like godly compared to what 3000cr statue here. Sad. After 1990s, Indian govt have been feeding the filthy rich ones and not those who are dying of hunger.

Just wasted 3000 crores on this And for Building AIIMS in madurai we are waiting for Loan from a Japanese company just because it is TN . Irony of this central government.
