GDP is like quantity. It doesn't tell about quality. Per capita income is just an average. It is a hypothetical value. I am not an economist, I have simply came to these conclusions from my maths. As I use maths, I see flaws in these numbers.

Say if you have population of 100 & GDP of 100 You had 2 people with 40 & 40 98 people shared 20. Per capita - 1 Say GDP increased to 1000 Both of them made their income 490 & 490 Remaining 20 still to 98 people Per capita - 10 But is it ?
for exaple u and me ar living in a country i produce goods of 100 and u produce of 50 next year i produce 200 u produce 40 for first year our gdp will be 150 second year it will be 240 so see total gdp increased but it decreased for u similaryl pre capita for 1st year is 75 for second year is 120 so u may see we are growing but even per capita fails to capture the true qualities@@shravan5041

GDP growth is the result of digitization and demonetisation.....more and more kaccha sales coming under radar, more is the growth of gdp.....in fact india has the highest gdp. In the world if kaccha sales is stopped.....per capita gdp is also high in terms of real purchasing power. . I have seen poverty in west. It is mind-boggling poverty over there even in cities like new York....even qualified people in the west struggle with their life.
