That's the difference between our news channel and that of other country. There are many such projects happening in entire India but we barely knew about them.
Our media is sold to political partys and has own agenda like them. Like all partys made their money and power by dividing Indians by caste, Religion or other things. Media also made that by polishing their images and sold out work. F that end thy will be end.
Too much negative news shown in media these days just to demolarise general public and thats why good positive news are underrated and doest get the attention they require.
I went there as an intern during the construction and it was surreal to witness what was happening at that time. There was a jr. Engineer who used to explain everything what's happening there and told us that he used to work for 24 hours straight as the time passes in seconds over there and trust me you won't notice time is passing. And the government leaders especially Harish rao used to come every week and drill the shit out of people to complete the project as soon as possible
That is how workers and engineers work in Gulf countries. If a task is given the client in gulf countries will keep on asking updates every week. For the highly paid salaries the client will squeeze like anything. Kaleshwaram project achievement is not at all a small thing. Credit goes to TRS also for getting project funds from central n timely execution. Hope Polavaram also gets Completed successfully.
Believe me, i belong to this place, its such a huge project and expands it upto 100s of kms. No one could even imagine such huge water can be pumped up make to fill many rivers/canals in Telangana.
As an patriotic Indian I am really appreciate this work. Our proud engineers can do with support of the Govt for the future. This is something to cheer about. This project is really wonderfull. We are doing for the future. Even though this project costs much, definitely it will fetch more prosperity to the nation. Once again I thank the administration for their will power.
The capability is there but the leadership, vision and guts are missing. With this type of project, it is actually possible to transform India completely in less than a decade.

I didnt know until I saw this that India was capable of undertaking such massive projects. Nothing can stop India. India has reached that stage now. Its all in the hands of the Indian people from now onwards. India doesnt have to have poor people, while other nations eat themselvs full.

On one hand its unfortunate that majority public don't know about these engineering marvels and,on the other hand, its better this way, because if such projects are given more limelight then the opposition, pseudo environmentalists and the uneducated crowd will come forward and start protesting for their own benefit and the development will be haulted Or slowed down.

This is a big milestone and great achievement by Telangana state. My state(Manipur, Imphal west) is very poor in such things,we have to buy a water tank every week since no corporation coming in, it came for around 5mins times once in a blue moon.
I visited the site Kaleshwaram and surrounding pump houses during the construction phase and the underground tunnels and network.. It was absolute marvel, with the kind of engineering works that were going on, the speed of execution, coordination, planning etc. We also had lunch at the mess courtesy the CE and it was lovely. All aspects from worker safety to well being was taken care.. Kudos to KCR Govt, Harish Rao, MEIL and all the stakeholders of this project.. They have done a wonderful job for Telangana... This once achievement and step taken by KCR Govt should go a long way in fulfilling the wishes of Telangana project. I am expecting Palamuru Rangareddy to also complete as its been on hold for long time. The Congress leaders should immediately withdraw all the cases..
Telangana Govt. has made Hyderabad city traffic free which most of India's metropolitan cities still struggling. And now the Telangana Govt. is preparing Hyderabad to curb floods by building massive drainage system & it is going to tackle any severe natural calamities. TELANGANA is India's own Japan..

I'm from this place and I'm super proud of this project...some people mock about this but we the Telangana have no other way other than lifting water... previous govt neglected Infra...yes maintaining cost is to high but benefits are even double ... Maintaining cost approximately 15k crores and benefits around 45k crores

At one point it is mentioned that the water is lifted to a level of 611 m above mean sea level.. I am from Nashik near where the Godavari originates.. Nashik itself has a height of just below 600m above mean sea level.. It means the water is at Kaleswaram is lifted to a height even above the origin of the river itself.. Such a massive project and investment.. I hope it achieve s all its aims.. Hope it doesn't turn to out to be India's THREE GORGES
Mission bhagiratha, kameshwaram are two of many ambitious projects undertaken by Telangana government. Water security and proper utilization of water resources, has been aim of the government and they completed these projects in record time too.

And here in maharashtra we have incompinent cm who don't understand the urgency of metro in such financially imp for country and state in mumbai .He is ruining the metro project by his own agenda . Making city to rattel in terms of transport infrastructure and then cry why the gov of india MOVE IFSL TO GANDHI NAGAR .
I didn't know the scale of the project. Hats off to the authorities who guided the project thru to success. We must also remember that mega projects should supplement nature and not contradict it for better sustainability etc. This is yet another example showcasing the immense talents in the country waiting to tap for more mega projects for easing life and bettering economic prospects of our people. Employment and income are critical needs too made worse by the pandemic today.
