It does not behove a large country like India to be obsessed about a small island nation like Maldives. Some of our cities have bigger GDP than Maldives. India has to watch out against the possibility of China setting up a so-called "research" base or military base in one of these islands.

Good lesson for Hindus: Don't support a community financially which aims to harm you. Reject Maldives, Turkey and Qatar and don't prop up their Peaceful governments by supporting their businesses. That means, don't visit Turkey or Maldives for vacation and don't fly on Qatar Airways.

I want to know why most of these small Indian neighboring nations don't seem to prefer maintaining good relations with India. They are more inclined to cultivate relationships with China. Despite India providing assistance in various ways, why does their interest lean towards China?

India always fails in information warfare miserably. Chine goes from bottom to top and try to control both, For eg: In Maldives China first built anti India narrative among people through social media and new channels and after that chose some local politician to build on that narrative. Whereas Indian goes from top, and don't even care about building narrative in bottom part(i.e. people) That's why China wins, If people will start supporting anti India policies due to information warfare from China, politicians will eventually do the same to get votes.
Maldives is very expensive. Lakshawdeep India is within proximity with same white sandy beach but much less expensive and safe waiting to be discovered. India itself is a world complete with diverse geography and cultures.

Reasons Y Solih couldnt win the presidencial election ? It has nothing to do with India out Campaign. 1. During Yaamin's administration China was busy building housing and other critical infrastructures and they delivered but MDP was alleging that PPM government has sold many islands to China to build military bases. but Solih government couldnt show any island sold to China aftr winning the election and people came to know that its a fat lie by MDP , during Solih's administration people saw Solih having many military agriments with India, even Solih allowed to presence Indian troops in Maldives, moreover Solih had agriment to develope a military dockyard in maldves with India. however! India couldnt deliver the infrastructure projects they promised to Solih government. just rushed to fullfill what India wanted to achieve from Maldives. 2ndly ! Solih's government corruption was another reason y Muizz won 3rdly ! I can't understand why did India increase monetary allocations for Maldives to nearly 700 crores in the interim budget if its President has a higher tendency to lure the members of its parliament through gifts, lucrative offers and money?? He could misuse that money to buy the loyalty of the ministers in the parliament and strengthen his position. Why not reducing our investments in Maldives??

So please provide factual analysis instead of spreading false information about China. Aren't anti-China social media platforms like WION, Firstpost, Hindustan Times etc. strongly supported by the India government continues to spread negativity about China. Look at Maldives, Bangladesh, Srilanka, Nepal and other neighbouring countries who were friendly with India are turning against India. Do you know the reason? Think about it. Just get rid of chaiwala. His agenda is pissing off other religious minorities and the impact will be what's unfolding now.
The primary cause for the issue becoming so big in the first place is not discussed, right wing X account (Sinha) tweeted that Modi visiting Lakshadweep was intended to finish off Maldives, which was then promulgated by the strong right wing supporters on X (was this the case for Modi visiting Maldives or is this just propaganda to make Modi look cool? Why did we have to bring in another country when the PM is simply visiting a part of India) now the Maldives officials responded specifically to this comment that made comparison to their own country. And the issue grew out from there. So basically we (extreme right-wing supporters) started to abuse Maldives at first and then when some of the elected officials chose to respond in poor fashion to this, we made this a huge issue, so we hit first and then when they hit back, we cry? I don't understand the absolutely needless ostricization of Maldives and people of Maldives we've achieved by this. Developing hatred for each other is not the right way forward. Data for last week for tourist visitors is out, and India's percentage is roughly the same as before (~7%). Apart from being a massive PR campaign, I'm not sure what this has accomplished other than being a net negative for our country.
