Wasim such a great bowler of his time swing, pace, the whole package. Interesting thing is...his run up was short still he could generate good pace and when he swings the ball unplayable. Sultan of Swing. What a fantastic performer. He was decent with the bat too, but I don't think he developed that skill much. He could have because he was intelligent and hard working. He was not a big fan of gym and instead used to run a lot to maintain his fitness (all this in-spite of having diabetes). Inspiration for bowlers around the world. Thanks for sharing.

Punjabi is an ethnicity, not a religion. There are Sikh Punjabis, Hindu Punjabis and Muslim Punjabis. Wasim Akram himself is Punjabi. Punjab is the largest province of Pakistan and they do speak Punjabi.

His X factor is he takes responsibility...he knows he is the main bowler for india and the lead for bowling team. He doesn't look for siraj or others to take wickets. He thinks its his responsibility like a captain though he is not.
