Yes because of these politics in Indian Cricket I doubt we would win a world cup. Unlike in Australia where there is no politics and players are chosen on merit and where players are groomed to have a clear brain and courageous mind set ..
@@omsahoo4370 he wasn't even in the list. Even though he was in tremendous form, he was the best option against spin. India struggled against spin in the 2019 world cup. And we didn't even put the best batsman we had in the extras.
Australia backed average players like Josh Inglis. Backed players like Labuschagne who don't fit the modern day ODI format. Backed players who were not in the best of form and yet came out victorious. Toss, pitch, luck can take you only so far. It's bravery and strong mentality that will always win
Ahmedabad wicket is bowl first wicket even in T20 or IPL finals. Conditions change a lot, win the toss win the match. Australia won the toss win the Worldcup…bad luck was on Indian side…even 2021 T20 worldcup Australia lucky won the toss so many time even Aaron finch admitted they were lucky to win the toss so many times and won the world cup …
The pitch was a problem. And Team India has been a top performer. However, the Australian team was very well-prepared this time, they had analyzed every move of our team and planned their strategy accordingly. Even if we had won the toss the conditions could have been the same. Well Deserved Australia! Very courageous and impressive performance Losing a match doesn't make us any less. But we need to support our team for the upcoming T20 World Cup❤
Australia would bundle under 200 like the 1st league match in chennai if Aussies would have batted first. And we would have won the world cup.Its a black soil pitch..from Odisha. That changes totally under lights & holds the moisture. India had that plan which Aussies completely read properly & trapped us under the same plan with proper home work & planning and nothing else.
Such a humble guy he is ,the worst part is he was a in form batsman when he was dropped for WC .India could have easily won the semis with this guy in our side but guess what in his place Rishav pant came in who never played a single odi in the last year.
For ur info, vijay shankar didn't played on semis ... actually Dhawans injury was a big setback. In semis evryone failed except jadeja ... U meant to say rayudu would have won easily just like that 😅 Big joke 😂😂
Because of the personal grudge of MSK Prasad..the chief selector back then..he is so stupid that he put his personal grudge first than country...even when shikar was injured..rayudu wasn't added..rishab pant was added..and when Vijay Shankar was injured..he added Mayank Agarwal who is yet to make his debut..and mayank was added to 2019 world cup squad!!! That shows MSK Prasad's personal grudge to not select ambati rayudu..in a way MSK Prasad was responsible for India losing that semifinal..had ambati rayudu been there in that semis after 5/3 India would have won.. especially after rayudu played such an innings in New Zealand against the same opponents in the lead up to this world cup that year ..feel bad for what happened with Rayudu
Ranveer says this is the Gen Z version of the pain of what the millenials went through in 2003. Being a millenial myself i think the 2023 loss is much more painful than the 2003 one, as in 2003 the indian team could not win against aussies at the knockoff stage and the 2003 australian team was much more powerful i.e., had not lost one match up until the final and the batting lineup and bowling line up had amazing players like Ponting, Gilchrist, Hayden, Symonds, Bretlee etc Until the final match happened i was too hopeful of winning the final as the Indian team displayed all the prowess which the 2003 aussies team had. so the pain is much deeper!

2003 Australia is an invincible side there is no shame that we lost to them. But 2023 Australia side is the lowest side in the Australian cricket history, It is a shame for team India that they can't hold their nerve in final. I don't know why these cricketers feel insecure despite having financial security and never ending fan support.
Here is something to think about: This was arguably India's strongest team in any world cup in terms of all round skill/talent and experience and their most dominant performance. Yet they lost to probably the weakest Australian side ever to win the world cup compared to their previous world cup winning teams. Let that sink in!
Nah, this may be the squad of talent, but they lack bravery or a strong mentality like other India's WC squads. Dhoni always had the squad which balanced both in strength and mentality. This squad has too many young players and they are not capable of being in a strong mentality. AUS just being AUS they always played by giving their lives to the match, say their fielding, bowling everything was so fine. But during the 2nd innings, Siraj, Gill, Iyer, SKY, Rahul didn't even look confident. After a good start by AUS and extras given by India they almost thought "to quit this match". The mentality is always tougher to get, while old WC legends have a very strong mentality. This is not a good squad compared to any of Dhoni's squad.
Rubbish statement. This is not the strongest ever. The 2011 team faced much stronger teams than the ones faced here. The quality of teams has gone down drastically. 2011 team also had lot of batting all rounders like yuvi , raina, sehwag, sachin. This team after injury to hardhik had 5 bowlers and rest pure batsmen and 1 wk bat. The only team in the tournament that had this combination. And the fielding was basic for the entire tournament. Indian team has the best ever facilities and money and yet cant seem to dive around the field and chase the ball aggressively. The team was hyped up by media and lost funnily in final. Aus by no means the weakest aus side. They won t20 wc just 2 years ago in dubai. If the aus team is so weak and indian team lost to that then god help this team. There are hardly 3 good teams in world now and we still cant win an icc event . Since our last icc event win in 2013, sl, wi, pak, aus (4), eng (2),nz have all won. We should be ashamed to not win even a single icc event in that span
2011 was the best Indian Side for me. Because they beat Prime Australia prime Pakistan prime and prime srilanka. Srilankan was something else that time. They were too much strong. Also in group Stage they dominantitaed each and every matche. Infact they lose a match against South Africa but that was a so close call not like this year final where india totally collapsed. And in 2011 team everyone was a big match player. Like Yuvraj Sachin gambhir zaheer khan. And india also had the greatest Indian captain ever had MS DHONI.
@@ray.shoesmith 2023 is the weakest Australia. 70/9 against Afghanistan? Lose back to back opening matches. 190 All out against india. Somehow some individuals performance save them.

True. The 2003 loss felt worse for me because that team had some special names that deserved a trophy, but in that final we were not favourites on paper despite the good form we carried in that tournament. Australia were clear favourites in that final considering how strong they were (and they had beaten us comprehensively in the group stage). This year it was the exact opposite: we were clear favourites going into the final and we lost the final badly. We also lost at home so that suggests this loss is worse in terms of opportunity missed. But in terms of emotions I agree the 2003 experience hit harder.
@@AshwinSriram Right. 2003 was terrible. The way Ricky Ponting hammered us was unbelievable. And in those days chasing 350 plus was a big mental bock !
@@pspk70 Yup, in those days anything above 300 was a difficult chase even on a flat wicket. But I heard from an interview that Sachin actually spoke in the dressing room saying we can reach the target if we get off to a good start (he still had the belief that we could win). Sachin wanted to take on Mcgrath and not let him settle which is why he got out quickly (trying to be too aggressive too early). In the end, other than Sehwag the whole team failed on the day against the best side in the world (at that time). I really wanted THAT team to win the WC but it didn't happen. Except for Dinesh Mongia (whom I don't rate) I really thought that team was special and that WC was special (the way we played was amazing).
@@AshwinSriram oddly enough a team playing at home has lower probability of winning the cup as entire World cup history would suggest. However, last 10 years or so that has changed.

This Australia side is probably the most weakest Australian side ever to represent a World Cup tournament, but they never lacked the killer attitude to winning the trophy, which is inherited and passed to each Australian side. India had a golden opportunity to beat this side, but they couldn’t bypass the mental strength who Australia will always possess!.
I think Australia was a stronger team. Yeah if you do man to man marking India looks stronger. But if you consider, batting, bowling, fielding, versatility, and X-factors, Australia was way stronger. These factors are important in winning pressure games. Just compare: 9 batsman vs 7. 7 bowlers vs 5. 3-5 allrounders vs 1 1 MaX (factor)well vs no X factor Keeping: Inglis was better. Feilding Australia was way better. Also India had similar batters including Kohli, shreyas, gill, KL and Jadeja. But Australian batsman were different with different roles. They had 3 most experienced, proven, disciplined and very highly skilled pace trios and best spinner of the tournament.

India lost because after Rohit got out all the players went into a shell, Virat was playing well until Rohit was there, after Rohit was out the Indian team forgot courageous cricket, they forgot to back their skills, they forgot cricket, Dhoni would have miracles, at least they go for runs on one end, defence on the other end. But all Indian players some how became defensive, they were 100 runs short. Nothing to do with the wicket, everything is courage and backing up your skill, Rohit and Shami says it is not our day, not true.., 1 billion people showed up and supporting the Indian and they say it is no their day, how many humans get an audience supporting you, personally nobody supports a common man. Pitch is good, nothing wrong with pitch, Rayudu is playing safe, he is also afraid to say the truth
Its been 2 months and this is the 1st time I am talking about that loss. The day Maxwell scored massive 200 deep.down I knew now Aussies are gonna win this WC no matter what before that they were not so good e.g lost to ind in event opener, lost to SA, a close win against NZ(had jimmy know how to smash fulltosses) SL one game was rain affected, imagine being 97/7 against Afg (Mujeeb MF dropped a dolly) no one remembered how great Cummins was a captain back then😂 As for Ind The rohit wicket was so crucial there is no point of getting out to a third class bowler like Maxi. Its been a decade since Ind team is completely dependent on Kohli. Imagine before finals everyone said Rohit finishes the game in powerplay. VK plays for himself and bla bla. Everyone prayed in final that may Kohli plays till last every time its him who is standing in any pressure game. About Pitch its not knew that host nations get favour and rightly so no one questions Aussies and Eng when they prepare pitches to their benefits. The only disappointment is that Ind didn't play to their strengths they played to Aussies weakness (defensive mindset) and deep down there is a psychological barrier of indian team not winning an ICC since 2013 that also played a part. Aussies are a fighting team who have winning and a clear mindset. Their fielding was spot on which won them this match imo. India should have made a wicket which takes toss out of the question. But it hurts soooo bad sooo bad and will continue to hurt because this was the best chance for them to win the world cup. Also the final shouldn't have been in NM stadium Wankhede and Eden Gardens are muchhh better to host a final. Because in Motera after 7PM there is humongous dew which eases out the chase. Mighty Australia are still a team to beat in ICC KOs.
Ranveer. It was a stupid question. It is a known fact in history that, the host country prepares the pitch to their benefit. But this time the greed swept them away. Food for thought. BCCI made around $3 Billion for this world Cup. They will always play with the common man's sentiment
Australia better planning and basics. India too anxious and no finals planning. India needs to the win the big moments in like dhoni and csk. Also bad bad wicket pitch

The pitch at Ahmedabad was very badly prepared that favoured Australians Mumbai or Chennai pitch are any day better than Ahmedabad pitch even the spectators are badly behaved.
To everyone wondering why pitch is tampered with….this happens with every World Cup. That’s why they say that home teams have advantages. There’s a reason why home teams have been winning last 2 times. In 2015 they made bouncy pitches to help Australian pacers. In England too they made pitches to help eng. In India we make turning pitches which doesn’t suit Sena countries. This happens all the time but since it was india this time the english and Australian media wanted to attack. So don’t make India the villain here. Every country does it. The only issue here is that india was already the best team of the tournament so why doubt your players? Should’ve trusted our strengths and no look for weakness in opponents. Imagine the mindset of the players when they know that they’ve got a tricky pitch just to make it harder for Australia. I mean they’ll self doubt somewhere in their minds. This is what happens when you have people with authority based on politics and not on merit. People with zero cricket knowledge making decisions.
Agree with everything that Ambati Rayudu said except one. India are not going to win any ICC tournaments in near future, despite only 5 real competing teams. One of Australia, England or NZ are always going to upstage us in the semis or finals, especially in tournaments happening outside India. This was our only chance of winning and we messed up. Everyone, starting from the BCCI in selecting wrong location, to the Team Think Tank in being overly timid and cautious with pitch preparation, to players displaying too much nervousness. Not one player in the current side can blast through on a tough wicket against the run of play, an ability very much required in any finals. We probably cant win any ICC event for next 5 years until 2-3 generational players come along and replace the current middle order boys with tattoos and piercings and hefty IPL contracts.
I want to say one thing why do aus win all the time although in aus cricket is not popular and India we have lots of player lots of talent there after we loss too them can u tell me why
lol who said cricket is not popular in australia.? it is a relatively old sport widely played a lot in australia and england! which justifies their prowess. also, they are very aggressive by nature. they do anything that takes for a win! if you remember symonds and few othersin the past would not shy away from sledging. they also have a great mindset unlike India. we get emotional and lose it under pressure.
Aussies won by playing great cricket on the field and off the field. India performs like a mediocre team in knockout matches, pitch, toss are just excuses. If you are under 20 and dad is under 50, know that your father gave the same excuses when India lost, like 1996 semi-finals.
Lol you think it'll come out or they'll make it public. Becoz it is the team management's decision to get this pitch go and check vikrant gupta and many others who spoke on this indirectly in presence lo of some ex-cricketers come commentators.
Rayadu should had been selected for 2019 world cup. Kohli rohit jadeja should back him that year. Sometimes greed of winning matches makes you take stern decision which is unfair for deserving player like raydu
A world champion must be able to defeat the opponent on any surface. This can't be an excuse. Being in subcontinent, being in home ground if we complain about slow pitch then going outside we will complain about fast pitch , swing etc when will we stop? If Toss has to decide everything , then we should only play Toss and award the trophy to the winner😂.
It's not about only slow pitch. There was no issue had the pitch remained same throughout the game but it got better in the second innings. Australia were lucky too.
At 7:50 if you listen properly, it’s just the conditions that should prompt you to bat differently. Wow. What a clean and simple observation. Yes, you come with plan A and when you see conditions changing the batters/bowlers - in this case the entire fielding team should have their plan B and C and D ready and make spontaneous decisions in crunch moments and adapt accordingly. I’m sure team had those but still things dint go in our favour and Aussies plans worked well. Like they say you can have individual champions in one team but you need a collective champion TEAM to win it at last. Great lesson learnt today from Ambati Rayudu. Yes as he mentioned we were the strongest but the skill of adaption and decision making took the game away from us. Hope we all keep this lesson close to our heart and mind and implement it in our lives!
Lost because of Rahul. He gave confidence to Aus. He could have atleast taken singles. India also lost match against Bangladesh because of his slow innings. He has to learn.
We lost mainly because of frauds like Iyer, Gill, SKY, Jadeja...This Iyer, Gill and all can show heroism only on flat tracks. In tricky pitches like this, they can't even score 10 runs. Iyer in first match 0(3)...There also KL only survived and took us to victory.. Iyer in finals 4(3)...Finals also KL tried his level best and contributed at least some 66 run to the team orelse we could've just scored 150 runs and lost the finals so badly Useless Iyer and Gill cost us the WC23
@@rajeshsubramanian4762 true , Shubman is anyway overhyped just for bashing on flat pitches, he is a choker for now atleast, he can't handle pressure and I would say , Shreyas had a bad day but still getting out on so silly way after a crazy 150 SR century was unreal to imagine from a player. KL, ohh man he just starts fumbling in stages automatically, he had 1 Last job and fcked it up like anything. Well, many things can be pointed but I think Aussies mindset is the main reason that the Worst Australian squad in last 20 years( comparetively) won the finals against the best Indian squad for CWC ever.
He said thing that team players are not open say about due to BCCI president it was a utter nonsense to keep final at ahmedabad stadium as pitch was not same throughout 100 overs and best weapon of team india swing and turn did not take place due to dew surface... i was like kahi bhi kara dete final but why this pitch🤬
Not one time he mentioned that we did only score 4 boundaries from 11-50 overs. KL did not take charge confidently and let Virat do his job by just hanging there like he did for all matches.
Indian cricket team didnt deserve to lose but bcci deserved to lose by bossing around and changing pitch conditions. They tried same in semis luckily pitch played good throughout. But in finals karma hit back. In an icc tournament you cannot make pitches according to your will. Its not a bilateral. If any other team would have done that we indians would have flooded the social media. But bcci has become too powerful and a gunda !
@@nomadd27828 how's that.. ICC is supposed to oversee pitch conditions in wc but we all know bcci had their own way.. and I'm sure even players would have been taken in confidence before deciding the nature of pitch. Must ban of changing pitch it is just cheating even if India won batting second it would still be cheating so yea making ideal pitch is best both teams can play well ..
Actually in the semi they changed the pitch to help both teams regardless of who won the toss. That’s why nz made 327 runs. Otherwise Sri Lanka type game would’ve happened. But yea against Australia they got scared

What we did was make it easier for them to win.
Saying India choked is the easy thing to say…helps with closure. But I don’t know how anyone who actually watched the match can say India choked. For batting, choking for me is when a batsman plays an uncharacteristic shot due to pressure of the moment…or in general gets out in a manner in which he normally does not. The only batsman we can say “choked” is Shubman Gill, he played a needlessly risky pull shot. The look on Rohit’s face standing on the other end said it all. The other would be the inexperienced SKY, who looked lost, again Rohit could be seen angrily telling something to him when he returned to the locker room…SKY did many dumb things…but in his defense lacked ODI experience. All the ODI big guns got out in the most unfortunate of ways or in manners they could not do anything about: 1. Shubman Gill - fine, choked 2. Rohit - thought he had cleared the infielder and 99% of the time he would have been correct 3. Kohli - seemed to have successfully defended with the middle of his bat, but almost a freak play, the ball finds its way onto the stumps 4. Shreyas - gets out to the thinnest of edges the third ball he faces 5. KL Rahul - similar as Shreyas. Swinging delivery that takes a thin edge. The commentator actually said at the moment “a batsman of lesser caliber would have completely missed the ball” due to the movement! But KL Rahul was able to make enough adjustment just to get a thin edge, nothing he could do about it, the definition of “unlucky” 6. Jadeja - again similar to Shreyas and KL, a reverse swinging delivery that takes a thin edge So here’s the top 6 batsment. Other than Shubman, no one choked. Why did we lose? It was written in the heavens that it would be so.
my country lost to a well prepared Australian side. we got to accept it and move on. stop blaming the pitch. we played badly on the day so we lost end of story.
