Hey guys we are in MUMBAI and we are about to try the BIGGEST THALI in MUMABI!! This is so crazy guys, I never thought it can get this big and they even had a Thali for the desserts! Don't worry though, with the extra food left over we gave the remaining dishes away to people who needed it more :)

Solid Jaggery is after the dinner to digest your food but if it's in powder form then you can mix the powder jaggery with Desi Ghee then further mix it with 🍚 rice. The bread that you have given to your son in the beginning is called Lacha Paratha. Yellow curry with Pakora is called Kari pakoda and usually we eat it with rice. The first dish that you had eaten in the cup was called Khichdi. It's a lighter meal and good for an upset stomach.

8:17 That was not soup. Its Khichdi (pronounce D as R). Made with lentils and rice together. 19:47 you rarely get lamb in India. It was minced goat. Great to see Alfonso eating midway through the video for the first time. And yes Jessica, we have seen big thali, we live in India. I like the way how you express love with each and every food. First class presentation. I don't know how your husband resist while filming. I stay in Canada but originally from India (Calcutta ). Btw about ghee it is originated in India and most of the household make their own ghee with milk so it's not expensive. It's staple for us. It's expensive in US and Canada due to import/export taxes and it's unhealthy unlike homemade. Great content. Keep it up ❤.

You're obviously gonna love it in Goa, karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, orissa, Lakshadweep, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar and of course West Bengal. 7:20 Kerala Paratha 8:22 Khichdi (the "D" is pronounced as a rolled "R") - It's essentially a rice + lentils porridge/congee with many variants and twists 9:38 The only thing that would be inappropriate is if you ate with your feet instead of fingers; else, anything goes! 🙂 10:11 Beats me too --- the topping looks like a kofta dish however that being served on top of a heap of rice, it does remind me of a kofta-biryani; I am intrigued too. 11:02 Pulao. after you're done with your meal, eat some of jaggary as is and drink water afterwards. It's a common practice in our culture from rural India and it helps in digestion. Also, jaggary + water used to be a welcome combo to offer guests but nowadays it's mainly in villages only.
